The Harassment Against Robert Scott Bean is Disgusting and Needs To Stop.
Robert Bean Scott who is affiliated with Scream (I don't know his exact connection) has been posting a lot on Twitter about the harassment he's gotten from the DbD community.
Tweet 1: "I thought people would be excited about the DBD hype, and a lot of people were, but a lot of people were also very mean. I tried to share teases and make it fun without giving anything away, and I got harassed endlessly. People on Reddit, YouTube, and Twitter have been so cruel"
Tweet 2: "I’ve been called so many names, and I didn’t even do anything! I don’t understand some people’s reactions. If this is what happy looks like, I’m concerned for humanity. So yeah... I’m happy I’ll no longer be harassed and can just be happy with the folks who are genuinely happy"
Tweet 3: "If I wanted to be called a ****** every day and be told I know nothing (you know nuttin Jon Snow!), I’d hang out with my brothers. Haha."
I know not everyone in this community is awful. I've met some really nice people here, and some mean ones too. Robert has done NOTHING wrong, but people are still slandering him for no reason.
Is this really what some people want this community to be known for? Slandering innocent people? Complaining about the 1 wrong in 1000 rights? Again, I know not everybody was doing this, but it's still a shame to see something like this happen. I know we're better than this!

The internet has a way of bringing out the inner troll in a lot of people. It's really sad. If you're a public figure it's something you have to accept if you want to be on social media, unfortunately. Idk what the solution is.

Wow. That's horrible. He's gifted us such a beautiful killer and this is what we give back? (I didn't take part in it). I'm disgusted and ashamed. That's horrible.

I don't understand why people get angry over teasers and leaks, let alone harass someone over it.
I get this community loves complaining and being salty, but how disgusting do you have to be to go this far?

I would expect nothing less from the DBD community. The devs work hard to bring licensed killers to their game and sure enough, people have some things to say, Which is, nothing nice.

Probably because most people can only see it as greed on the devs part. We have how many dlcs? How many licensed killers? How many cosmetics you have to buy?
That and this newest patch isn't going to be welcomed with open arms. Really this licensed killer being made available was news brought in at the worst possiible time with probably one of the most controversial updated to DBD in a while.

It also jeopardizes the the future of how any license holder would want to work with BHVR if their community is going to harasss and grief someone.

Kids will be kids, anyone who harasses someone for this is a low life and need a some serious help.
Just shows how bad the dbd community is, some peolple need to think about their life choices if a game gets them so worked up.

It never ceases to amaze me how we have this delightful and ingenious invention called the internet, which has the capacity to hold infinite knowledge at your fingertips and connect you with people across the globe in an instant, all while being eco friendly - and people take this gift and go “I think I’m going to be a giant cesspool of a person, feed into all my darkest traits and take joy from other people’s misery.”

From what I understand he's the creator of the ghostface mask. So it appears that BHVR are working with the license holder of the mask.. not the scream franchise... which is most likely why the killer is called the ghost and not ghostface.
I could be wrong tho.

People will generally ######### on anything for any reason. Just another example. We are very fortunate to have access and the means to play a fun game like dbd.
A lot of ppl in the world are not as fortunate. Their version of survivor is making it home with their head intact.

Society in general is insane, and these younger people are "mostly" liberal insane people which drives poor judgement and poor behaviour.
The internet is big, and it helps a lot of people hide behind other identities. What if.... once a year you were faced to deal with someone you harassed in person? No laws. No police.
That would change people's tune.
Anyways. Christ saves all. He has risen and if more people believed... gaming... and LIFE in general would be a better place.

I'm looking forward to Ghostface. Screw ups like this can happen, but that's oky. No hate gainst the devs or anyone else involved in making this DLC. I thought people would be happy after all the speculation who the new Killer would be. But as I stated in another thread: This community is very toxic. Sad :(

It is not the tv show one, the t.v. show one did not have rights to the mask, like DBD does.
They took a little creative liberty with Ghostface's jacket, and didn't make it flappy, insead it looks leathery.
I will remind you, THIS IS WHAT THE T.V. SHOW LOOKED LIKE.
A melted mask had sex with someone with down syndrome, and forgot to wear a condom.

Yeah the longer, cut up cloak gave his costume more of a ghost look in the movies. but this look, is pretty good. And honestly probably what Ghostface would look like, if rebooted.

I would support a perma ban for anyone caught harassing this man.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, many people take this game way too seriously....as though it's attached to their self esteem or something. If you're Steam, Xbox, or PS account can be linked in ANY way to a harassing tweet, including, but not limited ot re-tweeting, gone.
