Slugging in end game
This is my own opinion but I just can’t understand those who slug and try to be “toxic” about it (unless you’re doing a build).
I just don’t get the joy as someone who plays both sides. With the new end game that just kinda seems boring that I have to wait 4 minutes just to see someone die on the floor like...why?
I mean people can do whatever they want, they did after all down that survivor but why lmfao it’s just not funny I dunno. It seems childish.
I dunno maybe some people just want to ruin someone’s experience in that game 💀💀💀
What do you guys think? Do you do it? Like...why...I need to understand

It’s happened to me multiple times today I hope it’s just people wanting to see the new killing animation and it wears off because it is so boring and honestly is just gonna create a whole new reason for people to dc

Personally, when I manage to get all survivors in the dying state (happens unintentionally because I only run a slugging build on one killer and I don't play that killer at all), I try to hook them one by one. If they wiggle, I let them bleed out.
I'm not taking the chance that they'll be able to wiggle free (which is detrimental to me) just so I can do them a favor by hooking them. If they want to be hooked, then they should stop resisting.
Right now, however, it's mostly people who want to see the cool new animation. It'll go back to normal in a week, tops.

Killers experienced survivors keeping their game hostage for much longer than 4 minutes, and that for years. So a few killers might act out of accumulated frustration.
That being said, I think the big majority of killers only wants to see the new killing animation in the next couple of days. I don't think this will be a permanent issue.

This coupled with the fact there's a mend bug going about which stops players from being able to mend downed allies in EGC is just crappy.

You mean heal? Mending is for Deep Wound, which can't be applied to survivors in the dying state.

Well the alternative is camping the person on hook. The design of the endgame has always disincentivised going after others because they'll usually just run out the gate with the speed boost before you can catch back up to them. Meanwhile the hooked person gets freed, hides and heals. Once they're at full health you can't do much to stop them from running past you out the gate without insta-downs. That means there was never much choice in how the killer played the endgame if they wanted to actually kill someone (their main objective).
The collapse didn't do much to change this, but it did make it potentially more rewarding to slug people in the endgame since they make better bait for the killer (ironically) than someone hooked. Someone on hook could kill themselves or quickly die normally, giving the remaining survivors no reason to stick around and risk themselves. Someone on the ground has more opportunity for escape since they can move around and be picked up quicker making them more difficult to defend. They could also Unbreakable or crawl out the gate if the killer isn't careful. This makes them less likely to quit and they take longer to die, giving more time/opportunity for the killer to turn the match around. The dying person also takes time to heal at first (barring insta-heals), so the killer is free to go for more risky chases during that time.
Unless you were meant killers are slugging the last person when the hatch and exits are closed, in which case that's a **** move (unless they just want to see the animation). The devs really should've just made it so the last guy is auto-killed if downed while all exits are closed. It'd ruin Unbreakable/No Mither comebacks, but I think it'd be better overall.
