It's actually something you equip and get attached to the hook. Not sure if it will have any effect or is just for the look. Isn't that exciting imo. If it has effects I'm scared that I could be broken and if not it's just useless. I don't fancy stuff on my hooks, also if it's pure cosmtic it only effects survivors anway. Killers aren't spending that much time looking at hooks lol We will see where this goes in the future

It's actually been revealed that charms are little trinkets, apparently. While it is unsure what they do for Survivors, the Killer's can have their little charms on hooks. :D
You can watch PaulieEsther's video on it, it's fairly recent, I believe.

The Huntress Pagan mask looks cool but goddamn Tapp looks like he left the Village People. I'm glad @Detective_Jonathan is on sabbatical for a year.

I wonder if they can create personal stats with leaderboards as well for this upcoming patch. I know we can't have everything at once but I would love to see that tbh.

I still can't understand why BHVR doesn't download their own updates to make sure they're seeing exactly what we get when we download. They'd find so many bugs and mistakes.
