Why does Head-On have 40 second exhaustion?
I understand why it has Exhaustion; you could easily combo it into other Exhaustion perks and create too much distance from the killer.
But why is such a Niche perk bound to the same 40 second exhaustion cool-down as the others?
I believe it should have 30/25/20 second exhaustion. Half the time of the normal Exhaustion perks.

Just make that head on can recover from exhaustion (while using vigil)

Because exhaustion in general is designed to put a hard time barrier to keep a perk from being used too frequently in a trial. Head-On is a wide area stun coming from a locker. Its a multi use stun at that and lockers are considered survivor hiding spots. Killers have to search them or hear you go in to them to know you're there.
You can't have something like that be available every 20seconds.

Head on is also very inconsistent and extremely buggy.
In practice you'll get maybe 1 stun off per game. The 3 second timer it has before use really only makes this perk viable in the basement or at a completely random time when the killer suspects you're in a locker.

Enduring counter it..

Enduring basically makes it unusable. It's like the older version of the DS rework. No point in using it against an enduring user.

Better question, why does the perk proc at the end of the animation? I've seen more people get grabbed out of the animation than actually get stuns.

Without exhaustion 1-2 survivors could perma stun the killer.

I think he meant a cooldown like Dance with Me or Quick and Quiet.

It shouldn't have exhaustion tbh. Mainly because it's extremely situational and inconsistent.
I'd put it on like a 30 second cooldown.

I still feel it should cause exhaustion but it shouldn't be put to the same level as Balanced Landing or Lithe

I know right

Why would anyone care enough to slot Head On in the first place? let alone get any use out of it to warrant caring about it's cool down? This is a perk that is so useless that I've never actually seen anyone use it 'successfully' apart from in the devs demonstration video.

I have no idea why it doesn't just have a seperate cooldown like Quick and Quiet. Would eliminate the risk of absurd chain stuns and make it less detrimental.
But then again it's a bit of a meme perk to begin with.

They just need to fix it’s weird hitbox. Tired of the killer being in front of the locker and nothing happening.

It's helped me get out of the basement more than once.
I want to like this perk but it's just so niche

Head on should be like quick and quiet have hes own cooldown and not a exhaustion this should make a great perk if they manage to do this way

@Tru3Lemon Head On should work on a consistently reliable basis, let's start from that and work our way up. lol

@ReikoMori The stun area is the size of the locker so I wouldn't say a wide area stun. Killers can also still hit the survivor or even grab them before the stun while the survivor is exiting the locker. Like @Kagrenac already said you will probably only get 1 stun each match.

Because you could do infinite locker swap if you play it smart, so the killer would always get stunned.

You make it sound like it's powerful when it's really not. The stun time is worthless, the stun is extremely inconsistent, the range is buggy, and Killers can grab you while you are jumping out of the locker.

Head on needs the stun time buffed to 4 seconds and make it have a range indicator.

The op asked why it has an exhaustion timer. I gave them an answer. Regardless of how you feel about the perk or how buggy it may be that doesn't change what the answer will be. You'd get the same answer if any other exhaustion perk was mentioned with the explanation tailored to what is going on with the perk.

Yeah it also needs its bugs to be fixed
