1v1 and Endgame collapse
So, I personally see the endgame collapse overall as a great addition. Visually really well done and it fixes hatch standoffs and salty survivors holding the game hostage.
However, it's not perfect. I notice that especially when EGC begins and u chase the last survivor. It kinda has the feeling like versing an old Legion moonwalking against you. The timer runs against you, the killer doesn't even have to down you but just braindead follow you. Doesn't requite any skill and the survivor won't have a realistic chance to lose the chase + open the gate.
Furthermore, gate distances needs some tweaking (as many mentioned previously). Sometimes they are to close and give the last survivor no chance, sometimes they are way to far away from each other giving the killer nearly no chance.

The hatch is already a mechanic that forgives a survivor for completely losing. You failed as a team if you need the hatch. If you find the hatch first, that's that. If the Killer finds the hatch first, he gets the kill that he basically deserves. That's it.

Playing solo doesn't work like that. I can't pick my team members, I can't communicate with them. Ranking system makes it even worse allowing potatoes to be rank 1. If I run the killer in the EGC for the entire time (3 minutes) and he couldn't catch me it feels undeserved to die.

Nothing new. EGC needs rework for 1vs1 situations.

As a survivor, sprint to a gate as soon as the last teammate goes down. The first thing I do as a killer is race to the hatch to close it. You have time to get the gate open.

@MegsAreEvil You want the hatch stand-off back, I guess? You want the timer to stop while there's only one survivor left, I reckon?
The EGC effectively KILLED the hatch standoff and the ######### hostage situations.

@se05239 still happens because the killer can still camp the hatch and wait for some sign of you before they close it so it may have killed most hatch standoffs but not all

If you're spotted by the killer during end game collapse that's been triggered by the killer closing the hatch you shouldn't expect to escape. It's game over at that point. You failed the main objective and where given a second chance with hatch and a third with the gates when the hatch was closed.
A tip to help you when your the last alive. If you don't know where the hatch is then stay by an exit gate, when the killer closes the hatch you'll have 20 seconds to open the gates and escape, I've seen a lot of people do it and it works most of the time. either the killer goes to the wrong gate or the hatch is just too far from the gate that the killer cant even run there in time.
Overall its a problem with the gate spawns, Sometimes they're too close and others they're too far, but that's how RNG works.
