The plague discussion in the development stream regarding Holding Vile Purge.

I think the developer misunderstood what the nerf regarding holding vile purge does for plague and what the user is referencing. I wish I could explain this change verbally since this change is complex but I will try to explain to the best of my ability.

If you are outside of a chase, The amount of movement speed loss does not have the same impact as it does in a chase. The movement speed loss while charging Vile Purge and Movement after fully charging isn't exactly what matters. It's the amount of distance that a survivor gains between a killer for taking the action. This goes for every killer, but in plague case, It's worse than rest. In the PTB, by charging Vile Purge, you would avoid the 2.3 m/s slowdown in a chase because your charge up time was essentially instant and you lower her movement speed by 5% which means a survivor can do more loops after you have charged it lowering her catch up rate. so even though the numbers were buffed from 2.3 meters per second to 3.3 meters, She still lost 1.3 m/s since we could account her movement speed charge up to 4.6 m/s in the ptb on top catch up speed reduction for holding purge.

If we compare other killers, I would argue that other killers who also have cast times for using their power suffer less from these cast times because their power are less technical and more reliable. Huntress has Wind-up on her hatchets, but a hatchet is visually easier to predict the trajectory of a shot compared to properly tracking with the poison vile giving huntress a tactical edge in range. Other killers have more generous mechanics that do not lead to such a long slow time, such as Freddy Dream World allows you to follow survivors as you put them into dream state without huge loss of movement speed allowing you to get the first hit. Hillbilly loses some distance for charging a chainsaw, but he quickly regains it after he finished charging it. Leatherface has similar drawbacks as plague, but unlike plague, he can instant down survivors so his power is more reliable in my opinion compared to plague requiring to precisely aim the poison vile purge, followed by a basic attack. So I don't think her power stacks up to other killers at the moment and I think she is more add-on reliant than other killers for mediocre power that is harder to use.

I have another question to ask to the developers. Why is it that one of her red add-on Iridescent Seal contains 1 advantage and 2 extremely bad drawbacks? Why is this a thing? Red add-on are suppose to be very hard to get and they're suppose to be powerful, The advantage isn't even that good and the drawbacks are awful. I wouldn't take this add-on even if it was free. I would prefer an add-on that allows me to hold vile purge over this add-on.

That concludes my rant about developer stream regarding Plague. For those who don't know which part of stream I'm talking about. Here are links to the time.
