Character interaction headcanons
Hi all, I’ve been getting into doing little sketches based on character headcanons as art practice and on the release of the ghost leak, I started to think about his character as the add ons suggested he was an “inspired by ghostface” killer (particularly the map of the Floridian neighbourhood one) as in scream ghostface is more an idea and the killer changes a lot, and since Halloween is a work of fiction (playing as a movie in scream) in the scream universe I got this really silly headcanon that the ghost would idolise Mikey and follow him around like a massive fan/protégé given the similarities in their powers, I can just picture him fanboying about horror movie trivia to Mikey, it’s just a really cute/ silly headcanon I ran with for a while. So I drew the below picture as a rushed sketch ( hence the terrible colouring RIP)
I’ve also got a bunch of others I want to draw like hag teaching other killers to make hex totems and legion pranking Michael to try to get a reaction out of him. I might post these here if I ever get around to finishing them *sigh*
I just wanted to ask, what silly/cute headcanons do you have for dbd? If I’m inspired enough by it I may draw a sketch and post it here (no promises) please contribute your own art/headcanons too! Okay I’m going back to creeping the forums and sketching now *returns to the shadows with a mild heart attack of sharing my terrible art*

I like it (both your head canon and the art)! It looks very cute and if decide to create and share more I look forward to seeing them. Also, don't worry about sharing your art and don't be your own worst critic; it looks fine! :)
As for sharing cute head canons, most of my character head canons (at least for the Killers) are pretty dark.
The only really cute/silly one I have is that Hag and Susie are friends and spend time together outside of the trials; but even that's bittersweet.
They mostly just treat each other kindly and like human beings; something most of the Killers are either unwilling to do or incapable of doing. Occasionally they let themselves relax and be kids (they're both only 16 year olds) in a subconscious attempt to forget about the horrifying reality of their situation (stuck, probably forever, in the service of an immensely powerful and evil supernatural being).
Lisa's a bit resistant to having fun; she willing sold her soul to the Entity for all eternity so she could slaughter the cannibal village the same way they slaughtered everyone she knew and cared about. She understands why she's here, that she will never leave, and even feels that she belongs here; but she loosens up sometimes to comfort Susie (who, even though she has gradually become accustomed to routinely murdering people, still fears and hates being trapped in a place that is basically hell).
Susie, for her part, is the only person who tries to see the person beneath Lisa's mud monster exterior. Rather than treating her like an organ eating zombie (which Lisa is, to be fair) she treats her like another person; sharing her GameBoy with Lisa, complimenting the stylish outfits Lisa will get from the Entity, sometimes helping Lisa with her braids, and otherwise being nice to her.

@TheRockstarKnight I tried a quick sketch sorry if I didn’t do it justice I’ve never drawn either before, hag was really fun though might draw her more often, thanks for commenting, definitely very cute! I love the detail you put in and it’s adorable for Lisa to have a friend who sees her as a human not a monster and I can so see Lisa comforting Susie. I don’t mean just cute headcanons though, some dark ones might be interesting. I’m just trying to practice new things so thank you so much for joining the thread.
Sorry if I messed it up again. I’m doing these fast to improve my speed. I know I got the fabric on the wrong side because I flipped it mid sketch and didn’t revert it. RIP. Plus the background is fighting me sorry.3 -
My headcanons?
- Anna stumbled upon Rin as she was resting in her cabin in Red Forest, and moved in to attack her, thinking she was a prey, only to realize she was not only one of the Entity's fellow servants, but also a young girl, lost and wandering and filled with loneliness, her mother murdered by her father. Over time, the two of them managed to overcome their language barrier and the Huntress, empathizing with the Spirit's pain, was unable to prevent her motherly instincts from taking over, and she took on the role of Rin's surrogate mother.
- Susie is the only member of the Legion who is still deeply perturbed by being a ruthless murderer, while the others only have a shred of their humanity left. She, much like the Survivors, operates under the hope that once the Entity is satisfied, she can be set free.
- Amanda and Michael were forced to work together to teach Ghostface how to be a servant of the Entity. He's also in complete shock that four of his favorite slasher villains exist in this realm and he has a signed photo of each.
- When Ghostface's phone sends photos to his friends in his mori animation, that is the only time that anyone within the Entity's realm has access to the outside world.

@No_Mither_No_Problem Definitely cool, thanks for the contribution, might draw something for the first one as that one hit me most it’s adorable yet sad, I like we had some similar thoughts with the ghost, he’d be such a fanboy, nice addition to get autographs though hahaha perfect. Cool theory with the phone being the only remaining link to the outside world, something to think about...
Just letting you know about the drawing now so I remember and I also have that drawing time drain known as work tomorrow just in case there’s a delay, I’ll try to finish it ASAP though.

@Kiskashi That is perfect! You did an amazing job of capturing of what I wrote (IMO at least)! I'm glad you liked my head canon enough to make a truly adorable drawing of it! 😍
Also who cares whether Hag's fabric is on the right side or not, it looks great, it's really cute, and I love it! And personally I like the background, purple is one of my favorite colors. I wouldn't say you messed up at all.If you want to me share my darker head canons let me know, I don't want to overstay my welcome on this thread and just blab. :p

Hmm, one of my head cannons is Clown trying to steal one of Freddy's Finger knives XD
I also see Pig and Trapper tinkering with each others traps
Then of course Ghostface and Joey being bud for being pretty similar

@TheRockstarKnight I’m glad you liked it, thank you so much, it was fun, I’m happy for people to stay here as long as they want. I’m generally seeing what jumps out at me to draw one of each persons headcanons (or which ever inspires me) but that doesn’t mean that the rest are any less fun to picture/read. :)

@ClogWench I’m on it, it’s 50% done, managed to get the sketch done last night, just needs colouring when I finish work. It is very cute as an idea, I really like it too.

I can totally see ghost and Joey being friends too, thank you for contributing :) So many good ideas here. It was hard to pick which one to do. After I finish the spirit one above tonight I’ll get started.

@No_Mither_No_Problem Sorry this took so long I started to get details focused and forgot it’s meant to be sketches. Drawing spirit was definitely fun and I probably need more practice with huntress... she gave me issues (also please don’t hate me too much for the overlay for her veil, I just got to a point where I realised drawing the individual fishnet detail etc. would take a lot longer, I’m so sorry. I hope it’s alright, might continue this as a personal project in future/repaint and actually take the full time to do all details)
In any case definitely a cute idea and very sad, Rin is precious and I can definitely see Anna always being there to comfort her now. Thanks for sharing. :) I should probably go sleep now,

I have a lot of headcanons , but I'll just put four of them because I have zero patience to write every.
One of them is Susie sharing her mixtape with Rin, while shes trying to understand the language of the lyrics.
There's one of Herman annoying the hell out of Evan, because you know, Doc is a prick.
Then there's Anna giving Amanda a bear hug, while she appreciates it, shes desperately trying to get out of Anna's arms because shes not the weakest of individuals.
And finally, there's Philip teaching Max how to talk, because I see Max only as a child who only knew violence and pain throughout his life, and Philip, Evan, Sally, Lisa and Anna are trying to help him to understand what love is.

@Unnamed_Freak Hmm this one was very difficult, these are all very interesting but I tend to go for the one I can clearly picture best so I have a basis for poses when I start the sketch. I really like the idea of the last one but I'm having trouble picturing how to convey language. Picturing Doc repeatedly zapping trapper at the worst moments is amazing but feels more like basis of a comic... The first one is really easy to picture the poses and the 3rd one is also easy to picture (would make this thread the "Anna hugs everyone" thread after the above 😂) The first one is hitting me most currently given I can clearly picture it.
I need some more time to think on it. I'll add it in after Phantom's pig and trapper one above and let you know when I've decided.

I really like this headcanon I can see pig borrowing spare parts for her RBT and them tinkering with traps and sharing ideas. Thus the serrated jaws RBT and the auto reset timer bear trap were born. (Serrated jaws sounds horrible tbh I can just imagine it causes damage even upon trying to remove it, trapper would love Pig’s auto reset traps though, such a time saver)
Anyway sorry for the long wait, I’m quite disappointed with this one to be honest, had a lot of trouble with poses etc and not happy with the overall look, I’m sorry. It’s about as done as it’s going to get though, might draw another of your ideas as a compromise *shamed* it’s all a learning process though, definitely had fun with the shading/pattern on trappers shoulders and altering the traps. I’m so sorry, this one, I’m not okay but it’s done. Might retry later. Going to go question my art life in shame now.

@28_stab_wounds I think it's more the arms/hands and heights to me, the bear trap was a hard one to place because of the table orientation, it's a hot mess but it's an experience anyway, only way to get better is to try and fail and try again. Thank you for the feedback 😘💖

@PhantomMask20763 Thank you, I was tempted to go back to the ghost and joey bro one you suggested because I have an idea in mind for that one, and might still do so after I finish Unnamed_Freak's one. I'm glad you like it, I just see all the flaws because this one took me a long time to finish (mostly because I wasn't feeling motivated at the time) and still didn't like the end result, it's all part of the learning process though, but knowing someone else still likes it means a lot, thank you again, and thank you for contributing to the thread 😘💖

@Unnamed_Freak Sorry it took so long, was sidetracked by the 3rd anniversary artwork contest so I tried to get both of these done today, tried some new more simplistic lineart with wraith and focused more on the painting layers, definitely makes it faster. Also the wraith one was from another thread where I saw you comment on wraith/Philip having a pet crow and I loved the idea so did it here with hallowed blight skin, hope that’s okay, if not let me know which of the others you mentioned here you’d prefer to see and I’ll try again also feel free to contribute more if you want.
I can’t draw Susie for the life of me but bane of my existence seems to be the favourite choice of this thread🤣Have a bit of a headache so I’m going to chill for a bit now, will return to these tomorrow. I like how the complexity is increasing with each post because I can’t be consistent. 🤗

@Masantonio As much as I’d like to draw Min and Rin, there is a lot of spirit in this thread but I guess it’s more a scene or headcanon out of the 2 (although I can 100% picture Jake dressing up in a sheriff costume and walking around like an old timey sheriff/acting like it means he’s in charge and the others just go along with it for laughs) I’ll try the min one though, I have an idea of poses, starting to branch into character cosmetics in the pieces too so sure. I’ll let you know when it’s done. Now, I’m wondering if I should draw sheriff Jake, so indecisive on this one... might think about it tonight and draw base sketches for both and see which I’m feeling more.
Spirit is definitely a favourite around here. Or maybe I’ve accidentally accepted a pattern for myself haha...😅 Might revisit what’s been suggested and see if I can get some more characters in here. I’ve just been selecting based on how well I can picture the poses etc.

@Masantonio Finally finished this, sorry chose the Min and Rin gaming together one in then end because I wanted to try drawing some of their cosmetics. If I do finish the sheriff Jake though you’ll be the first to know 😂 Not sure what to think of this, some things I’m happy with other things not so much although looking back on this thread I think I’ve learned a lot considering these started as little sketches that took a similar amount of time. With this being the last request/headcanon contributed so far I think it’s finally time to thank everyone for sharing their ideas and headcanons.

@TheRockstarKnight 😊Aww you're too kind. Seriously, I just thought it would be a fun thread and none of it would have happened without these amazing headcanons/stories that people decided to share. I'm really grateful for all the inspiration, I think it helped me improve a lot over a short time, because of the motivation to keep going and the fact there were people waiting. Before I started the thread I was drawing the same characters and little sketches to improve anatomy but no real flair to them. These requests helped push me to imagine scenarios and draw characters and poses I might not have attempted for a long time.
Making commitments meant I'm drawing everyday, and the responses are so lovely, not even a hint of negativity (I was really afraid of disappointing people and of sharing my art when I made this thread because I'm still learning). I've currently swapped over to my palette challenge thread, I'm loving how interactive people are being. It's so nice. I might continue to do more similar threads in future.💖

(Late to the party I know but...)
I feel as though both Nea and Jeff would get along with killers such as Wraith or Nurse due to the fact that I think that all of them would have very reserved and quiet personalities.
