Michael Myers mask from Halloween (2018)
Introduction
Hi! This post for today will discuss the old rumors back from the Halloween Blight event from 2018.
Back when that event was almost on the horizon, rumors were spread around about Michael Myers mask from the "new" Halloween (2018) movie being added into the game around that time of this event. And I was excited yet skeptical for something like that to happen, I was excited because I love Michael Myers and that mask from that movie was amazing compared to other new additions to the franchise.
But I was skeptical because BHVR has trouble with licenses and they're under contract when using said licenses in their game.
Michael Myers Mask (2018) vs (1978)
The mask itself is worn, and shows sign of age due to the film taking place many years after Michael's capture in this new time-line. Compared to how the mask used to look from Halloween (1978)
Compared to the Halloween (2018) version, the original is always the best out of these things. But for me I always like an aged look on certain things in films to give the viewer and idea of how long its been unused or etc.
I thought it was an amazing makeup job on Michael's aged mask in the 2018 version, and it was a good homage to what came before it. I thought "this mask would look AWESOME on Michael in DBD" but as I said before, these were just rumors.
Conclusion
My last statement to this post is I would hope they get the license for something like this to be added to Michael as I love the mask from Halloween (2018) and it would be a great counterpart to the original Halloween (1978)'s version.
@not_Queen @Peanits Have they ever considered anything like this at BHVR to happen? I'm sure it would be an amazing addition to Michael's cosmetics. I understand how hard it is to get a license/work with said license for these movie Killers, but me and many others would like to see something like this I'm sure of it.

I'm a huge fan of Michael's aged gritty mask and would love it as a cosmetic. Its hands down the best mask he's had since the original.
Please Bhvr make it happen. If possible, can we also get older badass Laurie, too;

While hes had many masks and overalls over the years THIS mask is by far the most requested to have on his cosmetics and rightfully so, the makeup job done by Christopher Nelson and his team was outstanding and it was an amazing homage to the original mask.
It gave it age, made it gritty, it had it all baby!

Also @TheShape78 they don't do that for various reasons like with licensing issues or disagreements with the current holders of said license.
But this is one of those masks I hope gets thought of being put in. But we won't know for sure until someone from BHVR responds on this. (By that I mean respond to if it was or is even considered to be added into DBD)

It would have to be a skin in itself, and they don't have rights to the actors likeness so that's another issue also...

This was talked about before @Kiskashi ? I never even knew. Unless you're referring to the rumors spread around way back from Halloween Blight then yeah.

@FireHazard No it's okay, I was joking out of the monotony, there have been multiple posts even quite recently asking for 2018 movie cosmetics, yours is the most in depth and well done though so props for the detail. 💖 Will also be good to finally get the Devs comments after how long this has been going on.
Just adding some links as examples below plus just type "myers cosmetics" into the forum search (It reignited after the pig leaks) some of these are old but people have been requesting the same thing since the 2018 movie released basically.

@FireHazard They don't get many comments often, though they do get upvotes. It's literally why I'm not sure how many Mikey mains there are on the forums 😂 because it often seems like there's 5 of us that talk about it/other things and then it's just silence...

Well we Myers mains gotta stick together.
Also, its a bit of a minority since most people either like Myers or just have a unspoken thing with him. These posts probably get not many comments cause nobody goes in-depth with it really.

Everyone seems to have a thing for Myers but no-one likes maining him. I see how it is...😉
I think it's also because every time it comes up people agree, devs don't comment, cycle continues, it'd be nice if we did actually get a definitive answer but the reality is maybe even they don't know yet.

I don't know honestly, I wish they'd just say a "yes" or "no" or "maybe" that's good enough for me.
But they don't respond to it even with a @ so I don't know, they usually respond when you @ them but nobody came so... I don't know what the situation is.

I was really disappointed that even pig got cosmetics but Micheal not.
I don't know how business works in that case but is BHVR allowed to tell us if they approached the licence holders trying to make a deal and maybe tell us the reasons why it didn't worked out? Maybe the licence is way to expensive or the licence holder just said "no" without a particular reason?

Eh, this was just one of those cases where its been in the back of my mind since the Halloween Blight Event. Rumors were being tossed around and this was one of the biggest being said at the time.
I wouldn't doubt people would talk about this before me, but I didn't think that at the time of posting this till after awhile.
We can only dream of getting both, it would be a miracle we get the mask. At the moment though what i'm REALLY hoping for is a response from anyone from BHVR, as when this situation comes up for this specific mask its greeted with radio silence for whatever reason.
I don't see why they just say "We're under contract and cannot disclose that information" like with the Ghostface scenario, that's better than saying nothing at all...

Even the posts on them are basically the same though... I'm just getting tired of it, it's the same as the MoM threads, we get it, devs aren't responding for a reason on this, we got barely a hint prior to the pig ones as well, I put my thoughts above. Plus the last one was literally last week and you posted near the same comment...

@FireHazard I don't know if it's same mindset (I just used MoM as an example of a repost after repost and everyone repeating the same things), people probably just feel like the idea is getting ignored, it goes away for a while then someone remembers it and another thread goes up. I was just pointing out we had this conversation just last week...apparently that is also not allowed (as well as joking about it)...
I voted this up for the sake of the rest of you, I personally do not mind one way or the other, I'm just saying the devs probably have their reasons for keeping quiet. We've waited this long, surely they've heard the requests before.

Which is basically what people have been doing since before the movie was released. We just need patience, but I guess reigniting it repeatedly might actually get their attention enough to make a comment, however vague it may be, because it will seem like a widely accepted view. It's hard to know what will actually work to get at least a response. (even the fact this thread has actual discussion on it might draw attention)
Just remember we barely heard anything before the pig cosmetics though...and probably wouldn't have at all if it weren't for leaks but at least from it we know it's possible, I would honestly be surprised if they haven't discussed it.

Well think of it from my view, when making this post I have seen zero posts on this. I didn't know there were posts on this as I usually just view the first page only.
With that being said, I thought this was a unique post to make and discuss something I was actually passionate to see in the game. So it comes to my surprise that people actually DID make posts on this, but its not as many to the effect of MoM of course.

@FireHazard I'm not saying this particular thread is bad, I already said this in response many comments ago because I realised you did not know about last weeks post. I meant it as a joke, people took it seriously, here we are.
I also said in my immediately previous post this may actually be the right course of action to get attention.
I think I should just leave this thread now, lest I be further misunderstood, I hope the devs give you a reply though.
