Fun and tense way to play.
So i just played a survivor game where i arbitrarily limited myself to not using pallets at all and i must say i have never had so much fun in a single game. It encouraged me to be incredibly stealthy and i went the whole entire game without being seen by the killer. I was running premonition, Iron will, urban evasion and lithe. Seriously, playing this way by not relying on pallets as a fallback if you get found is an entirely different experience. Simply hearing the heartbeat made me tense up and hide. It was honestly scary knowing that i could very well be ######### if i get found. If you want a new way to play this game that is fun and challenging try it out. It is a very different experience.
Also as a side note for just a little background info.
Map - Lerys
Killer - Huntress
Rank - 1
I survived via the hatch, my team got murdered. 1 gen remained.

all good survivors rarely use pallets anyway unless they are being tunneled and no close by jungle gym.

I’ve removed Self Care from my build. It bites me a lot because teammates are dumb about healing but it makes the games a lot more challenging. Getting to a hatch is a lot more tense when getting hit by the killer on the way to the hatch will down you instead of launching you for a free escape.1

That's basically the way I play all the time. I only use pallets as a last resort and ideally only use windows and try to lose the killer.
Mixed results. I do pretty well usually, but more than anything I notice that my teammates die less than way because they often rely on pallets to stay alive, so the less I use, the more they have later on.

I love it, by not running around a pallet and actually attempting to lose the chase than outrun is thrilling.
I really suggest using perks like Lightweight, Urban, Iron Will, Lithe, and Technician. Stealth play is so much more fun, also more effective. I think anybody in this thread can agree that not relying on pallets and relying on outplaying the killer has better results.

Pretty much this. I like to mix and match my perks but Ironwill + Urban evasion is pretty much mandatory for me now. I have lost alot of killers by breaking line of sight and then hiding and if it wasen't for these perks it just wouldn't be possible. Honestly getting good at losing the killer with skillful jukes and using the environment to hide is what i personally consider the true measure of a survivors skill. The ability to remain undetected and if detected the ability to efficiently lose the killer is what makes a good survivor because any potato can run circles around plywood and hit there Decisive if they screw up. Funny thing is the people that heavily rely on the crutches and sea of pallets to stay alive typically end up dying anyways where as i make a clean escape and get the most points while not even being noticed by the killer once in some matches. Really is more rewarding and i wish more survivors would play like that.
