Sell out - new perk

Gained this idea from another thread (about ft13th and Chad's) and wanted to discuss how a perk like this could work possibly since I feel it would be interesting to say the least

- upon being within the killers terror radius for 25's outside of a chase, gain a new ability "sell out". Upon the use of sellout, the survivor who is furthest from the killer/player has their Aura revealed for 3s and screams (only audio no notification), while the survivor who used the ability has their Aura hidden for 3s. Makes the user the obsession. Only one "sellout" can be active at one time. Decreases atruistic bloodpoint gain by 50% and gain 50% more survival bloodpoints.

That whole thread actually got me thinking, we have so many perks based around altruism but not all survivors are going to be altruistic. Some will sacrifice others so that they themselves can live. Dbd might be a team game at it's core but solo survivors are still a thing, and prioritizing your own safety over that of an ally/friend would be a very real thing many people do. The key thing is to make any perks based around the game play sabotage of a team member, balanced to the degree of being fair and not overly toxic. I think this perk (which just chooses the furthest person from the player/killer) is fair in that it has a requirement, makes one the obsession (which can be a bad thing considering rancor etc) and has the singular benefit of being an activatable distraction/lure while hiding your self. Also a smart killer would be able to tell that if sell out is used, a Survivor must be very close and may instead continue to patrol the position. The closest thing we have to a perk like this at the moment is diversion, where you can throw it to where another player is located in order to lure attention away from yourself.

Personally I'm an overly altruistic survivor but I think a perk like this would be a very fun addition to the game (if done right that is. Because if done wrong it would only help breed toxicity.)

Because the best way to put a fire out is drowning it with gasoline.

I would rather not give power to sandbaggers.
