Reworked ingame player report system
Hey!
IIRC, sometime it was mentioned that they're working on a new reworked report ingame system.
It's so depressing when you report someone (after typing a URL with evidence token for token) and they don't get banned because dev's completely ignore the reports.
So do we already have more information when the system gets reworked?

they fired the person who handles reports to save some extra money, and will not be hiring any new people for the dbd project.

They said on the roadmap for year 3 they were going to redo the report system, but I have no further information on a time frame.0

They actually started working on a new report system a few months ago.
Not sure where it's at but I suppose it's the same answer as everything else when "when" is included in the question :

maybe if the devs stopped dodging the question in every single QA, and actually started banning hackers caught on video, then people wouldnt think this.
the concept that they removed the old form before making the new one is ridiculous, and the concept that they made an entirely new chapter, characters, map, store etc, before they could finish a FORM is even more ridiculous.

They probably took the old form down, because people abused it to report camping, tunneling, playing Freddy, using Insidious or BBQ.
When the new form comes out, it needs to specify in big red letters what can be reported and what not.

most/all other game companies dont just give up and take their reporting form down in a public show of defeat.0 -
I don't often agree with Lowbei, but this time he is on the right side.
There always be people who report because they don't like you. I saw several streamers report killers just because they killed them. Or killers report survivors just because they were bullied. The rules were pretty explicit and yet people still abused the ingame reports. I don't think people abused the report form too much because you had to waste time and submit evidence.
The state of reports from experience is: "you can cheat all you want, we don't care. Just don't cheat cells/shards and don't get caught by EAC (Easily Abused by Cheaters). Don't waste time recording or reporting, it's useless. The ingame report system is just there to make people feel better"
That's pretty sad, isn't it?
But they have other priorities such as implementing new paid skins0
