         Most probably just for gameplay reasons? I think it also ties in to the central idea of the game: You’re not safe anywhere- Death is not an escape.

    As said previously and by the game itself - "Death Is Not An Escape"

    Don't treat the entities' realm as similar to earth, he revives them at will, only to continuosly suck the hope out of them. With this game, the story is basically an endless spiral of how a god plays with its subjects and then reuses them as killers once they're broken.

    The entity is replicating locations on Earth, it does not function like Earth and you cannot "die" in the Realm, you are just tortured

    its actually just an elaborate sims mod and the entity doesn't want to have to remake sims every time they kill 'em off
