Why this game is a joke
Now before you get your panties in a twist, consider what I have to say and remember it’s my subjective opinion. I don’t really enjoy DBD anymore due to the lack of improvement in balance and killers. Granted, they have done some things but not enough to keep the change positively consistent over time.
Anyways, I have been playing again after taking a few months away from DBD. Gen rushing, loops, and all the usual still occurs. Ruin is still staple. Nothing drastic has changed. I do enjoy the endgame collapse but that’s one thing. So I decided to mess around the last few games of my night. I picked wraith and decided to hide the entire game. This gets to my point of why this games a joke... I actually had more fun watching the survivors scramble all over the map looking for me while I watched cloaked from a hidden, closed spot. One game, 2 people even died from the endgame collapse because they wanted to find me so bad. It was very entertaining believe it or not.
Now had I played wraith normally, I probably wouldn’t have had fun considering I’d be running loops like it’s nascar and relying heavily on solid builds like enduring + spirit fury. Plus any downs I would get would be from the survivors mistake, not my own skill...
What do you guys think? I uninstalled DBD because I don’t enjoy it. I have always wanted it to improve more but with these devs, I have zero hope. Just look at this new chapter they released. It’s an abomination lol. They also have said they’re not going to release any killers like billy and nurse again. They want “fun” killers

Fun is subjective and nothing should ever be made based on a subjective thing. Devs are deathly afraid of strong killers from what I'm seeing Ghost Face won't be even remotely average even with small changes because his kit is broken. I mean he is like Plague because survivors control his power but far,far worse in actual gameplay.

And what type of competitive gamer wants to play a game knowing that information? One thing I also forgot to mention is this dev team takes FOREVER to make fixes that should be swift and take no time. Ive never seen such an incompetent team. They don’t even listen to the community who begs for stronger killers lol

Supposedly they don't have a crunch time like most devs but its not improving game quality all. But yeah we see next to no hotfixes ever or very rarely but the base game is flawed as well because it is primitive in design.

A lot of people think speaking negatively of something means you hate it. That’s not always true. I want DBD to succeed and I see it’s potential. I got drawn in because i love the horror genre. I think it’s dope that you can play as classic horror villains. If you love something and see its failing or has issues, you should find the problems and voice them. Accepting mediocrity is never good. Unfortunately people are willing to just accept it and hand the devs more money which puts a smile on their face

I mean if you love a game you want it to be better and thrive like DBD could have. I as well stopped playing a while I got no fun even playing Huntress anymore.

Yeah, you can tell they still have a survivor sided mentality by claiming they want to make 'fun' killers, but the killers who play them aren't having any fun because they are underpowered and against a good team of survivors, especially SWF, they become a joke. You just get looped and out perked, because survivor perks are far more powerful then killer perks in any kind of comparison, direct or otherwise. Its jsut really got me down because for a little bit it felt like they where finally moving in a good direction, removing vacuum pallets and making some good QoL changes, but the release of all of these killers that give power to the survivors is just...well, bad. And I am distraught and find it difficult to even play, as much as I want to, because of all of these issues.

Ive pretty much always found survivor to be boring. The only time I found it fun was the first week or two I started playing. I actually felt tense and scared. After I learned about loops and counters, I couldn’t play it again. It’s too easy and when you’re not getting chased, you sit there doing a “skill check” simulator where the skill checks don’t actually take skill.
What I don’t understand is why they don’t give survivors another objective that’s mandatory in order escape. It doesn’t have to be extra gens because that’d lame and even more boring. I honesty would play more survivor if it was actually challenging. The thing that kills you if you’re a good survivor isn’t the killer but crap teammates lol

I'm with you on the survivor being boring, I think a fair share of people who get joy out of it is because they are easier and you can bully the killer, too many people get joy out of ruining others days.

What I’ll never understand is how there are some rank 1 survivors who have 1000+ hours and still don’t understand or acknowledge the issues. Some do, but I’ve met some who genuinely believes killers just lack skill. It’s hard to tell if this is a deflection tactic or lack of intelligence. I’ve also met some who acknowledged but don’t care, which makes no sense because without killers, there’s no game.

I'm honestly shocked Ghost face got made with his power concept that is so flawed it doesn't work. Monto only got his power off a like once or twice

In the end, it all boils down to money. That’s clearly all the devs want. The players are dollar icons to them. Notice all the cosmetics consistently coming out and all these other new ways to reach in your wallet. Sad...

Which are overpriced at like $10 a piece and yet they want this battle pass BS anyway.

It’s honestly tragic because if they catered to the playerbase and didn’t worry so much about the money, they’d have even more money. Look at amazon. Not a gaming company I know, but their model is “obsess over the customer”. That is their philosophy. They are now super successful and the founder is the richest in the world.

Ghost face is a slap in the face in that way ill thought out mechanics and a power that is destroyed by just looking his way.

ghostface: I’m invisible but only when ones looking at me!

If you run object he is literally powerless literally it counters him so hard that he is just a killer with no power.

They don't play killer. I was the same once. I complained about Noed, Ruin, insta downs, you name it. People who don't play both sides are completely blind and lack empathy.
1 -
That's why you have to post in this forum like all the other whiners because you uninstalled it. Yes, makes sense as always.

Please offer something constructive or say nothing at all. If you don't agree state your reasons, calling someone a whiner accomplishes nothing but make you look like a fool.

Memeing around in a game is always funner than playing the actual game imo :P

Nurse and Billy equals power abusement
I don’t like infinite M2 killers, if a killer rely on his power to take down survivor, a charging system like Rin is great. Of cause, rabbit has no problem in return, she is ok
1 -
Billy still gets looped and nurse has endless deadzones. Stop. Nurse is the only killer that could be argued as OP
2 -
Dbd is not a competitive game.
Too many things that can determine the outcome of a match are based on RNG.
Survivor:
Hope you spawn in a good spot.
Hope exit gates are not too close to each other.
Hope the hatch doesn't spawn right in front of the killer.
Hope your teammates are decent.
Hope that the killer doesn't have Franklin when you bring a flashlight
Ecc...
Killer:
Hope you spawn in a good spot.
Hope your hex totem spawns in a hidden spot.
Hope the hatch doesn't spawn right in front of the survivor
Hope the gates are not too far away from each other.
Hope the guy you are tunneling doesn't have DS.
Ecc...

The balance is more of a problem. When half the killers struggle against looping, that’s an issue

There seems to be more and more dissatisfaction with each chapter and players, especially killers, are losing trust in the condition chapters are released.
Over the past 10 years or so I've played plenty of games where they do weekly maintenance and regularly release patches that are just bug and quality of life fixes as well as bigger patches that release new content. Not sure if I can give examples so I'll leave that out but there are quite a few that I couls name
Tl:dr they should release quality of life, game tweaks, and bug fixes far more frequently than they do now.

Play as a killer is not fun anymore, I'm just doing for the bloodpoints
3 -
Its the DBD teams fault for not addressing issues with their game before starting new chapters. Along with new chapters come new bugs and usually broken sound which is a big issue its self that sound is usually broken in a game that really requires sound.
