The truth the devs don't want you to know

The entity, the big bad of the franchise, the puppet master contorting killers into an endless chase with survivors for both its amusement and sustenance. But what is the entity in its true form?

It's Nea... Jk

But follow me down the rabbit hole as we figure out everything about this great evil in what I like to dub "the auric cell entity theory" we will find out where it came from, how old it is, it's gender, what it truly looks like and most importantly it's greatest weakness.

Let's start with something we know and is probably one of the most important yet overlooked details, The entity is everything. Let me clarify with a passage from the entity's page on the wiki "The entity is anything and everything you see in the trial" lets get more specific and look at the realms page "The realms are pockets within the entity, who creates everything from itself except for the survivors and killers". It seems pretty obvious the entity is everything we've known that since the beginning but how do auric cells fit in? Vigo knows as he states in his journal labeled 'the real enemy' "The entity uses Auric cells to create the realms." But wait if the entity is the realms but they are made of auric cells does that mean the entity is made of these cells as well? Let's look at the hallowed blight for the answer the passage on oct.21 the blight "the Entity which goes through a purge once a year" if you've ever taken a class on cells you'd know where this is going, I'm talking about apoptosis, the death of cells as a normal and controlled part of an organism's growth, the hallowed blight occurs once a year according to the journals, possibly the lifespan of a normal auric cell? But why use the term purge? It conjures the image of removing the living and healthy, but why would the entity remove a living healthy part of its body? Maybe what we've perceived to be its body isn't actually? With that in consideration what if it's "body" is simply a "hive" billions of auric cells falling into line behind a supposed "queen" this could explain why it is possible for survivors to control auric cells on their own as well with vigo creating thousands of devices both mechanical and magical even going as far as to build an entire laboratory from them, this is why the entity has the blight it is removing weak and rogue auric cells from its hive via apoptosis, the nectar nearly spot on looking like someone threw thousands of auric cells in a blender for a year, this would be inconsequential to the entity who could easily refill its numbers via Cellular division. Not yet convinced of the entity being an auric cell? Benedict baker said "The Entity is a force of darkness from an ancient place with no name." Such a force being made of and controlling auric cells could have only one place of origin, the beginning where the only thing that existed was the auric cells, though it might not have been born as part of the original auric cells (given the fact it doesn't know or seem to understand the workings of the universe) it possibly was given rise to by another queen that is long dead the one who directed most auric cells at the time to become everything that would eventually come to be, only to be imitated by the current Entity in its need for sustenance.

Now that you've read everything this far lets talk about 1. What gender is the entity, and 2. A possible way to truly kill it

1. If you've followed along this far and have understood my ramblings then you'd know the entity has no gender being a singular cell who can self replicate.

2. Again if you've followed along closely enough, you'd know the entity's weakness is its strength the cells in it's hive, turn enough of them and pray you have enough to kill the "queen"

Above a simple auric cell below "nectar" (possible auric cell that has gone through apoptosis)
