So... one week before the dlc drops, what are your expectations now?
Devs are adressing main issues of Ghostface but I really can't tell if it is going to be enough for him.
Can we conclude anything at this point or not? Some people are sure that it is going to end up bad but I am not. Maybe they will make him work somehow.

I wouldn't expect much tbh. He will still be pretty weak unless they nerf all of his sounds especially the stealth warning.
I think looking at him for 1 second will still be too fast

I still have the feeling Ghostface may be the first DLC I don't buy as soon as he's out. His power may or may not be fixed, but I doubt his perks will be. Not to mention I find the Scream movies incredibly stupid.

I can't see how, Freddy had been how long with us and getting a re work, there is too much -not right- with father death that he will need to be fixed, just like a lot of others.

I think they're going to give him a tiny buff, leave him as terrible and expect us to pay. I was going to get him, his power sounded awesome but it's terrible with the easy way to nullify it. The looking at him is a cool way to snap him out, it makes him terrifying to face, but it should be pointing like Monto said or something more interactive.

I kinda want Father Death to be OP on release so everyone begs for a nerf. It would be such a nice change.

@Poweas - Despite the negative feedback from the PTB, I've been watching the Scream movies to get my self psyched up for the release. So getting myself familarised with the lore and terminology.

Pretty fearful that Ghost Face may be the most bullied Killer for awhile. Unsure what Perks would even be a good build on em esp since his power is in a pretty bad spot. Especially since once people know the Killer is GF, people are gonna be on higher alert to counter the stalking, with higher rabked/skilled Players actively having someone run around to bully GF by breaking the stalk.
We'll see, but def not holding my breath

I fully intend to buy the dlc, as a Ghostface /Scream fan. I've always wanted him in the game along side my favorite horror film killer Michael Myers, and now he is, for better or worse. I know he has had MAJOR issues in the ptb, but I also know the developers are going over this feedback and are addressing them, which unlike many here on this forum, I fully expected them to do anyway. Call me a fan boy, down vote me, I don't care. I have hope, and I WILL be buying on release day.

@JawsIsTheNextKillerYou should watch Scary Movie or Shriek if you know what i did last friday the 13th. DBD's version of "Ghostface" is closer to those movies creations.

I think that the Ghostface DLC probably won't sell too well, not compared to previous killers at least. Both because the power seems garbage and its very limited usefulness (Allseeing Ghosty perhaps?), and because Freddy's rework seems more exciting then ghostface, so i expect a lot more players purchasing freddy if they havn't already.

I don't have any expectations. The devs will make it right. It won't be immediately but it definitely will happen.
Patience is key here and unfortunately a lot of people have none or a very small amount left.

Well Freddys getting reworked, so I need a new bottom tier killer (that isn't Leatherface, he's beyond boring imo, I hate the chainsaw killers) to play so I intend to buy him :/

It's licensed and he's the only new character we will be getting for 3 more months.
If you want new content he's the only option until mid chapter when Freddy's rework drops.
People will play for a bit with no new killer/map/survivor then cave in to the lack of new-ness

I'm thinking they do the smart thing and address his most glaring issues. Bad for business to have a killer dead on arrival. I'm hanging on to hope; I really like his base stuff and when his power did work properly it was pretty fun. Here's hoping

Compared to other killers i do not think he will sell as well. No doubt there will be a lot of people buying, but all really depends how many people buy it thanks to all the negative feedback.
Also people will either cave in, or just swap to another game. Kinda depends on how good the changes are when GF is released on live servers.

I have a bad feeling about it, especially since the PTB received no updates so the overall "feedback" from it will be useless, since the killer was bugged and never fixed.
MoM technically got buffed with how easy it is to get safe unhooks, and punishes the killer for not tunneling one surv wich is just stupid design.
So yeah, not great at all.

Unless they remove most of the sounds ghostface makes and increase the detection time he will just be the new freddy

He'll still be a vanilla 115% movement speed killer though. Freddy can't say that.

My expectations are very low. Ghostface needs some real work done and I think it is unlikely they will make the needed changes in the amount of time they have. I think it is perfectly possible to make him a fun and interesting killer in time. But I seriously doubt he'll be worth a crap when released.
PS: 2 of his 3 perks are garbage and need a rework.

I expect him to be released with weird changes that don't fix anything and all the bugs will come live as well. :) I love my dbd <3

Hot Garbage! The proclaimed bugs even if fixed... his power is still trash. It's too bad we couldn't see the changes on PTB so therefore he'll basically be a cash grab.
I advise people not to buy until we've seen some good changes. I just don't want people to get hoodwinked over a Name.

None of that terminology or lore will help you as they wrote an entirely new killer, backstory and all. He's in no way affiliated with Scream or its lore.

I don't understand why the developers can't make small changes at a time. Like it took approximately 11 days (June 24th to May 4th) for the developers to put some of my Survivor Emblem changes on the PTB. Therefore, why can't they make small changes to weaker killers and perks if the process doesn't take that long?
Btw, I'm not mad at BHVR, I just don't understand why it's more complicated than it is.

I don't even know what is the purpose of this PTB. Player supposed to test and give feedback on the new characters and changes so that they can have a vague idea what to change and balance things. What is the point if the character on PTB is a broken version and player won't be able to accurately test and give appropriate opinion on the subject?
Everyone are trashing GF due to him getting cuck by simply spinning the camera around and the wooshing sound telegraphing his arrival, how can we tell if without these bugs, GF will be good or not?

Everything that needed to be said of GF was said less than 24 hours after PTB dropped.
Devs should has squashed the bugs (assuming they were bugs) in the first few days and put out a hotfix so we could spend the rest of the PTB testing something closer to what Live release will be.
As it stands now, either we get the same garbage that was left on the PTB with a few "fixes" and slight buffs, or we (hopefully) get a completely different killer. Either way this PTB, beyond the first few days, was pretty close to useless in my opinion.
I'll wait to see how GF looks on release, watch a few content creators play and judge for myself. If there isn't some really drastic changes, fixes and buffs to this killer I will not buy him, no matter how much I like the character itself.
