DBD Survivor Timeline

edited June 2019 in Lore

In this timeline, I will be listing the year that a survivor was probably born in, the time they were taken, and some extra info providing why I thought of that.

Keep in mind, this is still being edited and might need additional info from people who provide it.

Thanks to some people for contributing to this! :)

(PS: I won't be adding Bill, only if someone asks.)

Dwight Fairfield- Born in 1979, taken in 2000. This is based on @Rattman's stating, Dwight had a scrawny look, he had a stereotypical backstory, his watch was standard, and he was a pizza delivery man. Therefore, he was about 21 when he was taken in 2000.

Meg Thomas- This one was hard, but: Born in 1981, taken in 2001. Meg's backstory provides little information, however, her standard outfit depicts a vintage style. This isn't related to her backstory, but it could contribute. Meg Thomas was about 20 when she was taken in 2001.

Claudette Morel- Born in 1984, taken in 2003. Claudette's story mentions a forum, meaning there was internet. She also appears as a young & smart woman, and was introduced a scholarship to college, so she was about 19 when she was taken in 2003.

Jake Park- Born in 1977, taken in 1998. Thanks with the help of @Rattman, his backstory mentions internet (again), so we could assume he was taken during or after the mid 90s. This might not contribute, but his father was a wealthy CEO. I could probably assume his father became wealthy in the late 60s, and Jake was born in the late 70s. This concludes Jake was about 21 when he was taken in 1998.

Nea Karlsson- Born in 1949, taken in 1968. Nea was taken around the time of The Nurse, as her backstory mentions Nea visiting the Crotus Prenn Asylum and disappearing the next day. Her life as a rebel could also contribute. This could mean Nea was about 19 when she was taken, the same age as Claudette.

Laurie Strode- Born in 1961, taken around 1978. This is based off of Halloween and its timeline. We could assume she was taken after the first movie. So, this means she was 17 when she was taken.

Ace Visconti- Born in 1902, taken in 1969. This is a random assumption, but his bio mentions "his appearance could easily pass him off for an aging 50's movies star". Ace's part was hard to come up with, so I could only assume he was 67 when he was taken around 1969.

Feng Min- Born in 1994, taken in 2016. Again, based off of @Rattman's evidence, Feng's default "Shining Lion" shirt mentions the year 2016 in the description. She was also hooked up on computer games as a child, and it also mentioned she wandered around and found herself in bars, meaning shes at least 21. This could mean she was 22 years old when she was taken in 2016.

David King- Born in 1986, taken in 2013. His background provides no information at all depicting what time he lived or when he was taken. David is at least of age to go to bars. Judging by his appearance, he seems at least above 25. I came up with a conclusion that David was 27 when he was taken in 2013.

Quentin Smith- Born in 1993, taken in 2010. This is based off of Nightmare on Elm Street's info, as it was confirmed he was 17 in 2010. Therefore, he was 17 when he was taken in 2010.

Detective David Tapp- Born in 1954, taken around 2004. Once again, this is based off of the Saw timeline. Tapp died in 2004 (the first SAW movie) and was probably born around the 50s. This can conclude Tapp was 50 when he was taken in 2004.

Kate Denson- Born in 1953, taken around 1973. Kate was based off of TCM final girls and was supposed to be released with LF. Kate's backstory provides little no to information of her time, except for a small piece of info, the battered Chevy she got when she was of age. This could put her in the early 70s spot, based off of TCM, and a partial bit of her backstory. This could determine that Kate Denson (my motherf&&cking girl!) was taken at 20 years old around 1973.

Adam Francis- Born in 1975, taken around 1997. Adam's backstory mentions he was exceeding in an athletic school, something he wasn't good at, which made him a target for bullies, which is a classic stereotype for high school movies that came out in the 80's/90's. This could probably put him in the late 90's mark, which is when Spirit got taken. Therefore, Adam was 22 when he was taken in 1997.

Jeff Johansen- Born in 1972, taken in 2000. Once again, as @Rattman concluded, Jeff was taken a bit after The Legion was taken. Jeff's physique, appearance, and backstory sort of provide some information, Jeff is an edgy artist that probably jams to heavy metal frequently. In conclusion, Jeff was 28 when he was probably taken in 2000.

Jane Romero- Born in 1987, taken in 2012. Jane ran her own TV show. TV shows dedicated & ran by 1 person started appearing in the mid-to-late 2000's (for example, The Ellen DeGeneres Show/Wendy Williams Show), so it's safe to assume Jane created her show around 2010. This can conclude that Jane was about 25 when she was taken in 2012.

Ash Williams- Born in 1957, taken around 2018. Based off of the show Evil Dead & the time it ended, we could assume that he was taken in 2018 when the show ended. This shows that Ash is 61 by the time he is taken in 2018.

TL;DR

Nea Karlsson: Taken in 1968 at 19.

Ace Visconti: Taken in 1969 at 67.

Kate Denson: Taken in 1973 at 20.

Laurie Strode: Taken in 1978 at 17.

Adam Francis: Taken in 1997 at 22.

Jake Park: Taken in 1998 at 21.

Jeff Johansen: Taken in 2000 at 28.

Dwight Fairfield: Taken in 2000 at 21.

Meg Thomas: Taken in 2001 at 20.

Claudette Morel: Taken in 2003 at 19.

Detective Tapp: Taken in 2004 at 50.

Quentin Smith: Taken in 2010 at 17.

Jane Romero: Taken in 2012 at 25.

David King: Taken in 2013 at 27.

If you have any information, please list it down below. Thanks for reading! <3

When the new archives come out we will probably have a better understanding as they expand the backstory of every survivor and killer.

So, here is my little contribution. If anyone wanna make full timeline, give me some credit.

Some markers I found in survivors bios:

Jake Park - wifi was mentioned. So, Jake at very least is somewhere between 1998 and now.

Claudette Morel - online forums were mentioned. So, 2000-now. Not really helping, sadly...

Dwight Fairfield - I'll put him somewhere near Claudette, I guess. 2000-now. Nothing more precise could be said about him from his lore: his wristwatch are simple and regular, pizza delivery job and mentions of american footbal can't help much.

Nea Karlsson- again, nothing really precise. There are some mentions of skateboards, but it don't really give us much. i'll say, tho, that skateboards in USA were most popular somewhere at 1960-s. And also, we know that Nea dissapeared when he dared to leave her tag on Crotus Prenn Asylum. This must take place AFTER events of Nurse. So, there is slight chance, that Nea was taken from the farthest time period from us.

Laurie Strode - Let's put her somewhere near first movie, in 1978. Halloween is the one series, which was remade plenty of times, you don't really want make parallels between Laurie-DbD and Laurie from movie.

Ace Visconti - we know that he is from Argentina and he is a gambler. I did a little research and found out that 1990-s marked a great development in the gambling industry of Argentina. In this decade, the then-present administration started licensing land-based casinos and other gambling facilities within the country. But, each province is tasked with its own view and laws of gambling within the length and breadth of the province. Its not really helping, but, well, atleast something...

William 'Bill' Overbeck - according to lore of L4D he died somewhere in 2009.

Feng Min - her T-shirt is from 2016 Tournament. Pretty accurate.

Quentin Smith - he is from 2010, according to movie release date.

David Tapp - according to the first Saw, he died in 2004. Again, I'll use movie release date.

Jeff Johansen - he connected with Legion in his lore, but he arrived in Entity realm later than Legion did. So, I'll put him somewhere around 2000.

Sadly, can't really find something, like, anything important in David King, Meg, Adam, Kate, Jane and Ash's bios.

I'm assuming Ash was taken in 2018 because that's the year the show ended. Just a thought from me

I am so sorry that I'm late to this. I was AWOL visiting my brother and had no access to my account for over a week. Just know that I did see the original post, but couldn't respond.

I actually did attempt to make a timeline for Survivors, but it didn't really go anywhere. What I used were fashion trends to attempt to place each Survivor.

That said, I literally gave up when it came to Dwight and Meg (My note for Dwight literally says "I hate everything"). I do recall, in a thread talking about character ages, that someone said the devs said that Dwight was older than Jake, so I put him at roughly 25-28, and Meg earned a college scholarship but didn't actually go, so I put her at 19-20ish.

I'm a little more sure about Claudette's placement, while at the same time having trouble understanding it. Apparently, from what I can see, the term "skinny jeans" didn't actually come into play until 2009 (yeah, I'm not sure I believe it either). If true, then Claudette's base "Blue Skinny Jeans" leg skin places her around this time. I will agree on the age you put her at.

I will agree with your and Rattman's placement of Jake due to the wifi connection. Again, younger than Dwight, so 20-24ish.

Again with the skinny jean thing, Nea also wearing them puts her also around 2009-present day. I will agree that Nea is probably 19, so there is that.

Laurie is from the movie "Halloween", taking place in 1978, so she is obviously from here, at the age of 17.

I put Ace in the 1990s because of the whole "aging 50's movie star" thing, meaning he would probably be in his twenties around that time (or older, I don't watch 50's movies so I don't know the actors of that time) and in the 1990s would be defiantly considered aging. Let's just ignore how I for some odd reason that I decided he was 47. 67 seems much more logical, give or take a little.

Feng Min is obvious. Her base polo says it is from the 2016 tournament I put her age at around 24.

David King was one of those that made me want to bash my head into a wall. None of his clothes had a notable year, and I could find little to nothing on bare knuckle fighting in England. I did find that his hairstyle was apparently popular in 2015 (or something close enough), so that is what I've decided. Age-wise, I put him at 30.

Quentin is from the 2010 remake of "Nightmare on Elm Street" and as such is from then. Personally, I believe his backstory takes place three months after the events, meaning he could still be 17 or have grown to 18.

David Tapp is from the original "Saw," released in 2004, so, as both you and Rattman concluded, this will be his year. Age wise, his actor, Danny Glover (one of the few actors who I actually recognize) was about 58 when filming, so I'll go with that.

Again, going with the fashion thing, I have to place Kate after 2013. The term "jorts" apparently didn't come into use until then (again, not sure I really believe this, but research is research) and those are what her base leg skin is (also the only thing I don't like about her).

For Adam, his theme is 80's nostalgia. I believe this means he would be growing up at this time. So teenage Adam is from the 80's. He goes to college (I'll use a typical age 20 senior) and goes into teaching. This is where I believe you miss it. Putting him at 22 really misses a huge part of his backstory. Getting a teaching degree takes 4 years. Even at 18, he would only reach 22 by the end of it, then there's a whole year he goes before he even GOES to Japan. And he started seeing himself as a teacher DURING college. So, roughly a year of wandering, four years of teaching degree getting, a year of teaching in Jamaica, then a few months in Kagoshima. Final age, 26. Final year, however, is actually the same. 1997. Just, might want to fix the age a little.

I wrote a whole discussion on Jeff and the Legion about how they weren't taken at the same time. During it, I picked up on Frank being adopted by Clive three years prior to the janitor's murder. Assuming that he made Jeff paint the mural a few months later, and Jeff was a senior (about 19-20) when he went to Winkler, Jeff graduated in 1993. He becomes a roadie for a few years (as stated in that discussion, few usually refers to three or more) so he is about 22-23 by 1996. He gets into a fight and takes several art classes (which usually take about four years to complete, and as I once again stated, Jeff doesn't seem like he would drop out). So, by 2000, he is 26-27. Then he led a nice, simple life. I would put him in 2006 at least, at the age of 32-33.

We both came up with the same year for Jane, but for different reasons. My reasoning was that Oprah Winfrey's show ended in 2011, and Jane had her show running at the same time (remember, she IS based on Oprah). I put her later because she kept going while Oprah decided to end her show. I made her a bit older though. 38, to be exact.

Finally, we come to Ash. There is something that both you and PhantomMask forgot (though, I can't really blame you as I would have gone with the same assumption). At the end of Season 3, (SPOILERS by the way) he defeats the demon Kandar, barely surviving himself. A Knight of Sumeria named Lexx saves him. And (this is what wasn't considered) TRANSPORTS HIM TO THE FUTURE!!! Again, can't blame you guys for missing this. it's only mentioned in the last sentence of his backstory, and even then, it is very brief. I'll accept your age for him, but the year is incredibly uncertain, other than a dystopian wasteland. So, let's say 2098 and call it a day.

That is basically all I had. Again, sorry for being so late with this. And I'm basically operating on two hours of sleep right now, so... Any mistakes in my judgement/memory are for that reason (also, all my research was done in roughly in January at like, 2 in the morning, so yeah).

But, its just assumptions, right? How can you just say "The X was born in 19xx and taken in 19xx"? Where is proof, how do you even came to those numbers?

I just assumed lol, but with VolantConch's help, I can adjust the numbers a bit.

Thank you @VolantConch1719! I will gladly take your information. :)
