PSA: Spirit phase walk does not make grass/corn move
I keep seeing people say you can use grass/corn to track a Spirit phase walking.
THIS IS FALSE.
Spirit phase walk does not affect the environment at all. Grass/corn does not move while she passes through it during phase walk. If you don't believe me then try it yourself with a friend in KYF.
The ONLY thing that reacts to Spirit phase walk are crows.

I distinctly remember seeing grass move when she phased through it. Maybe it was a bug they fixed and forgot to mention?

This is what a lot of people believe but it is WRONG. It was never a thing.
A friend of mine was arguing with me about a month ago about this. I brought him into a KYF and proved to him he was wrong.
I think the reason people believe this happens is because Freddy will make corn/grass move and/or because she has collision during phase walk. But her collision only applies to survivor models, NOT to the environment. Only crows will react to her during phase walk.

Yes, this is exactly it. Not enough people actually test this stuff, they ASSUME because other invisible killers do it that she does it too, but she doesn't.
Anyone that wants to contest this is free to make a video to prove me wrong. PROTIP: You won't.

I've seen you in a fair amount of threads about Spirit Beads and people absolutely sure that grass moves and using that as a counter argument as to why they shouldn't be changed.

Yea, it removes quite a bit of mind game with her and removes all mind game when running Spirit Beads.
although, I rarely come across SB Spirit, I can understand the frustration that comes with that combo.

Yes, it's not a valid counter tactic.
I main Spirit and I firmly believe that Prayer Beads need some sort of drawback. Currently there is a bug whereyou can hear her footsteps when she is phase walking very close to you. This bug should be fixed HOWEVER it should be made a drawback of Prayer Beads. It doesn't need to be extreme, something like you can hear her footsteps when she is within 4m only so that grabs are much more difficult because that's the part of PB that is overpowered.

That would completely kill her actually. I don't agree with this. There is a reason they removed the directional phasing sound because it was too easy to track what she was doing.

yeah because a killer shouldnt be powerful or feared .... just so she can be bullied .... nothing about this should be changed. when phasing she is not in our world so why would she affect corn or grass too move? she goes too the otherside. think about it use your brains .... lol

no. go play killer then you will understand that its some survivors sole objective to do that and some killers can be flat out bullied and power useless against them. freddy is an example. leatherface can be led round and chasing for ages majority of killers can be bullied ....

I think something that boosts this is the basement. When anyone is down there, the grass above moves as well

As someone who plays a lot of Spirit I can also add my voice to the fact that grass and corn does not react to her phase. Crows do give your position away indeed.

The boring overrated daddy gets to be dull as all hell, just standing there like an idiot who never learned anything... oh wait, they didn't. lmao canonically, Micheal is a freakin idiot bwahaha. An original killer, a visually striking and stunning killer, a creepy looking killer with eerie sounds and effects, and a power that is so fun to go against. I jump and then laugh when she jumpscares me. It feels so correct, so right, so perfect when she kills me. But whatever. Hate her more than any of the ugly dumb male killers but ######### ever.

1) This thread is a PSA not a complaint. People need to stop discussing balance here.
2) Tombstone is EZ to beat. If it's Judith's Tombstone, then Myers is slow AF and he is probably doing infinite tombstone so it will take him forever to tier up. Just loop the crap out of him and avoid feeding him EW. If it's Tombstone Piece that's a bit trickier, but it also means more stalk time and if he got his t2 on you then he won't be able to stalk you enough to get t3. Also it's temporary, so just hide. Oh and if he is chasing you in t3 just jump into a locker. If he is going for the achievement he will leave you alone and go find someone else. If not, he will hook you, which is not instant death. Tombstone isn't even comparable to Prayer Beads.

Seriously guys, STOP insisting on nerfs for something you rarely encounter. Prayer Beeds aren't used that much. same with Omega Nurse. What's next: Nerf Tombstone Myers?
My Spirit has currently 28 Beeds and I used it only twice in the entire time of game play. same with Moris. I must have like 200 on all Killers, yet I use them very rarely
Yes, these things can be a bit annoying, but taht doesn't warrant a nerf

Not really, no. If they were facing it that much, they'd take a perk to help them counter it. When I suggested it, however, the response was basically "Why would I take that perk to counter this one thing?". To me, that says they're not facing it nearly as often as they claim.
