Why doesn't the Legion recognize Jeff?
I know it's probably a "Uhna he needed to kill 4 gameplay" but is there a loretic reason? Jeff did help tag the Legion's hideout for them, so why don't they recognize him in the trials?

I think killers can't talk to survivors, even if they wanted to.

Theyre broody teenagers, either they dont recognize them because they didnt/dont care who he is OR they do recognize him and simply dont care.
"Isnt that xxx?" "Who cares?" "Whatever"

I would imagine that they do recognize him, but were given specific orders to eliminate all survivors if possible.
They may occasionally spare Jeff time to time, but that's my theory. We know it's possible for Killers to occasionally not actively hunt down survivors or show some form of mercy given the Pig and Clown.
The Pig left (presumably) Benedict Baker live, but would not give him a third chance, and the Clown wanted to catch him unaware, so he just smiled and reentered his trailer thing.

They may actually recognize him, but at this point it doesnt even matter, the entity most probably does not care about friendships in its realm
So Jeff and FJSJ are just part of its realm, why would he allow them to interact with each other?

Maybe Jeff got fat since last time The Legion saw him.
Maybe they think he's a killer from that terrifying skin.
Or maybe what I, and everyone here says, They do, but still have to kill him.

They probably do. They probably don't care though. They have one task and it is to kill. And if you have to add up the fact that they only have a few seconds to think and look at a survivor before they activate a paranormal adrenaline rush that skews their thoughts rapidly and any rational thought is turned into thoughts of chase and kill.

From a lore perspective I’m sure they do but they have to do what the entity tells them. The entity watches them through their eyes anyways so even if the legion wanted to spare Jeff the entity would punish them for even trying.

Frank and Jeff only talked once, or twice at most. Not to mention several years have passed ever since. Its very likely they just forgot about each other.

Well we know that Frank met up with Jeff at least once or twice for to commission.
We have no idea if Susie, Joey or Julie ever met Jeff. So there is no evidence to suggest that they would even recognise him. Hell they only knowledge of him could be Frank telling them that some dude painted our mural.
So lore wise Frank is the only one who has any evidence of an encounter which kind of cuts out the other three members of the Legion recognising him
On top of that they were all taken whilst it was still in their teens whilst Jeff has at least grown to be in his 20s or more so I highly doubt that even Frank will recognise him. However they did steal his sketchbook so do with that what you will.
