I don't know origin of new GF skin's blade but when I saw it I though I saw it somewhere already. Now I finally remebered where. It was in Skyrim as reward for finishing Dark brotherhood quests. They look pretty simmiliar don't they.

Was it inspired when in development or is it just common type of weapon ?

    It does look similar but I don’t think that it is a reference.

    I highly doubt Skyrim invented that dagger design.
