Another "We want DS nerfed" whine-wave?
What's up with all the "WE NEED DS NERFED" posts again?
It seems as if you're never happy with what you're given, you always want more. You didn't want DS to be such an easy free-chance so they gave it a condition and a duration/time limit to be able to pull it off but yet again you are all asking for it to be nerfed even more. Why not ask for it to be removed from the game as well? What's up with all that entitled kind of attitude? You always said survivors acted like that but now you are like those kids who ask for candy but won't stop at one, they will want to eat the whole package.
Sigh...

Some people are just never happy
28 -
Both sides have been asking for unnecessary nerfs (DS and NOED).
9 -
Because if you lose as killer it can't possibly be due to your lack of skill. It can only be that the game is broken and killer is impossible to play.
27 -
People ask for nerfs when they don't want to work their way around something. They are so lazy and entitled they would rather have the perk changed so that they don't have to put any effort into the game... Those people are the ones who are killing DbD (besides all the bugs and yada yada).
9 -
I would love it to never have been in game. But they went and did it and now we keep having discussions on how to fix this mess.
6 -
I'm just saying, making it so that it deactivates when you hook someone else isn't a huge deal. In fact, it means the Killer isn't tunneling.
Therefore, the anti tunneling perk should deactivate until your next hook. This is to prevent YOLO strategies within the 60 second grace period.
Other than that, DS is fine.
10 -
You have to balance things. If you remove DS, what will you have removed from the killer's side? And don't come and say you want some crappy perk removed. Give me something killers actually abuse to their benefit. BBQ? NOED? I don't know, Tanatophobia?
8 -
Survivors already have like 6 more perks than Killers.
3 -
It doesn't say DS is an anti-tunneling perk. It simply mitigates that behavior. A lot of things could change about the perk. Say you deactivate it if someone else is hooked, but what if you're downed and slugged while the killer goes and chases the person who unhooked you to come back to you right afterwards, what would you do then?
6 -
Well, I don't use DS at all. So I would sit there and wait to be revived or picked up again.
I don't really care about tunneling.
But to answer your question, you can just make it so that it only deactivates if you're up and someone else gets hooked. If you're down, it keeps ticking. Easy solution.
1 -
I really don't get that there are still people crawling around with wanting DS nerf even though it is perfect as it is?
9 -
I don't seem to be able to use 10 perks in my game. And how do my perks add up to the perks of those survivors in the lobby with me? We can benefit from others' perks? Yes. Always? Nope.
5 -
Nobody is asking for a nerf to noed. Just a condition. It should be earned, not a free win for killers who sucked all game.
11 -
Should it have two different counters? What it the timer freezes if you're slugged but the skill deactivates if the killer let you go and hooks someone else?
3 -
Its so perfectly fine and balanced that every surv runs it at red ranks.

What were you expecting from a forum crawling with Killer mains?
It's easier to complain about stuff. Cause you know, the Killer players are perfect, everything's the game's fault.
13 -
I doubt any respectable killer mains would actually say that.
5 -
In fact, a lot of people asked for a nerf and a condition. Funny requests, some of them. A condition to noed would work. Like, with EGC on now, why would NOED activate when no to a few gens are repaired? Shouldn't it changed to "when all generators are repaired" instead of when doors are powered? Or maybe something else, IDK
5 -
I don't care if it procs during EGC, I think noed should be token based, with certain things required from the killer to get said tokens. Each token could potentially represent a one hit down for a survivor.
4 -
Tokens would work. Maybe a token system the way BBQ works. Each time you hook a survivor you get a token and you lose a token once you down a survivor while NOED is active?
2 -
Because it’s wrong to get punished when you aren’t even tunneling the Survivor. At that point, it’s just rewarding the Survivor for failure. Why can’t DS deactivate if someone else gets hooked or the Survivor interacts with something? Seems like DS always has to have something stupid about it otherwise it’s a garbage perk unfortunately.
1 -
NOED since it’s apparently so hard for survivors to deal with. Lol the fact that you have thana in your argument and it’s not that useful compared to something like DS. So I would pick NOED since it’s a killer crutch. I would be fine when playing Killer to not have because I don’t use it. Only new killers do. So stop bullying new killers and you won’t see it.
0 -
Yeah. You would use up a token each time you hit someone. If you had 4 tokens, you can one hit 4 survivors. Could even throw a condition in there that dictates that if the survivor is already injured, a token isn't used when you down them.
4 -
They don't have to say it.
It's obvious. DS is fine the way it is, yet it's still not enough for Killer Mains.
Pallets have been nerfed multiple times, count was decreased, some loops have been completely guttered because of this, yet it's still not enough for Killer Mains.
All jungle gyms have walls and Killers have the ability to mindgame Survivors, what do they do? They just follow and expect the Survivors to be handed to them, and if they're not, they complain.
7 -
I really like this idea for NOED. Gives it the buff it needs without giving it to the Killer for free.
Not that I mind free NOED, but totems are horseshit.
2 -
DS was buffed after its rework because of Enduring literally deleting it. Enduring got reworked and it doesn’t affect DS anymore. Now DS has no reason to stay how it is, so it should go back to pre-buff post-rework DS.
If not that, then the fact that DS can still punish people who don’t tunnel. It’s a straight 60s invincibility with no exceptions. If active DS deactivated when another survivor gets hooked but still keeps the 5s stun, then that would be fine as well.
6 -
"yet it's still not enough for Killer Mains."
because the game is still unbalanced, lmfao
5 -
I actually spit all over my phone. Dunno why
2 -
idk why they still try to pull the old "killer mains should be happy we're forcing them to eat dry dog turds instead of rancid diarrhea we used to"
3 -
They enjoy their little power trip too much. Just because it’s better than before doesn’t mean it’s good.
4 -
Just give the constant killer complainers the same response they give when survivors complain about something like ebonies. “It was already nerfed, it used to be so much worse, therefore it is fine now.”
it is funny though how DS is being attacked again now that MoM is in the trash bin.
6 -
This whole thread is just showing the survivor vs killer mentality. Why can’t people see things from both sides?
6 -
Dude if someone runs face first into you and they were recently hooked and never healed, that's like a giant neon sign that says "I WANT TO DS YOU". Just slug the guy. God forbid a survivor make a smart play. Just don't take the obvious bait like a starving dog and you won't have a problem.
3 -
I mean, I'm a survivor main and I acknowledge that Killers have it super rough.
Does that make me a Killer main?
2 -
I wouldn't mind if the stun time was decreased from 5 to 4 seconds. Nevertheless, this perk is now fantastic. It shoudln't really be nerfed in any other way.
4 -
Because when you do you get ######### on. You advocate for both and it’s like you’re an “entitled x main” because you have to nerf one side to help buff the other.
2 -
Same friend. I actually like most of your posts.
3 -
Ds timer should go off if I hook someone else it's really hurts my momentum that me playing well and not hooking survivors that just got unhooked to avoid ds doesn't work because I down the first guy really fast and the other guy hides right next to me. It's called logical thinking not a "whine-wave" and your post is whining.
0 -
I’m referring to the comments saying X side should stop complaining because of X reason, acknowledging issues from one side is not what defines the survivor vs killer mentality.
0 -
I’m rarely called entitled and I look at both sides perspective.

Complaining without real fundaments does nothing but create drama and bickering. You can suggest a change to a perk from an objective point of view, not when you want the perk to be changed only because you can't overcome its functioning and pretend to argue that it's the game's fault and not your own.
I have never ever used DS because I find other perks more useful. I have fallen victim to it as a killer yet I would suggest changes to it if I considered them for the better, not because I am bad at the killer side. Same as with NOED. I try and cleanse as many totems as I can. If NOED goes off, then bad luck, I will try and find that missing totem or try to make it out alive. If I'm hooked, tough luck. I wouldn't have NOED removed because I failed at negating its activation when I know how do it.
1 -
I named thanatophia because I just got it with Ghostface and it was the first thing that came to my mind haha
2 -
Even if DS sometimes helps even against non tunneling killers, what's the problem? Right now it seems like a fairly powerful perk without being op.
4 -
I would like to know how many times survivors carry DS into the trial and end up not being able to use it. It would be fun statistics :p
3 -
Ahhhhh okay. I was just so confused to see that. xD
0 -
I probably use mine every 1 out of 3 matches.
2 -
So say, the effectiveness of DS in your case is 33%. Is that what you would call broken or powerful? Statistically speaking.
0 -
The problem is that people are categorizing it as an anti-tunnel perk. For me, it’s more of the argument being made just being flawed. That and it’s annoying to just have to eat it when someone just yolo’s at me just to get awarded with bp for stupid plays.
0 -
It is powerful but not broken, it has ways to work around it.
