This matchmaking system is garbage
I got chased by the killer for a good 5 minutes early game after cleansing their ruin, and the entire time I was wondering how not one gen was completed. After losing the killer I repaired 2 gens by myself and my teammates still hadn't repaired a single gen. I was wondering why my teammates were playing like complete morons, and then I saw this when the match ended. How the hell am I being paired up with rank 20s and 19s, but the killer is around my rank?

their SWF probably. No other reason it would do this. I have gotten rank 15 in my purple rank games because of SWF.

@BunnyTheHutt But even if those three were SWF, a triple-man of 19, 19, and 20 still should not have been mixed in with a Rank 11 survivor teammate and a rank 13 killer. Something is off with the matchmaker.
Had the rank 11 also been in the SWF, then it would have made some sense. But they weren't.

It would only make sense if at least one of them were close to my rank but none of them were. If one of them were rank 13 and the rest were 19 I could possibly understand, but they were all practically new players.

one was rank 11, that is only 2 levels from your rank.

That's the point. I'm pretty sure it was a 4 man SWF with new players joining their friend who does play the game.

He is mad he was out with 3 19/20 survivors against a killer near his rank.

Been playing killer since the update and even when I got down to rank 10 most of the survivors in my matches were on average rank 14-18
I wasn't complaining cause it was some easy BP but after a while I felt like something was different couldn't be because of SWF.
10 minutes minimum for a match search could have had something to do with it. I searched for a match went to Wendy's came back and still had time to get some points before everyone left 😂

Dude. . . Did you even read the post or are you just entirely clueless?
1) I talk about being chased around by the killer for 5 minutes and say "the killer is around my rank"
2) The only player name I didn't cross out is literally my username on this forum which should've made it obvious I was the rank 11.
3) If it were a 4 man SWF that would mean those were friends of mine I was playing with, and if that was the case I wouldn't be complaining about matchmaking.

I got one of these too yesterday. I was playing as a filthy survivor in green ranks, I had to wait a while for my match-up and when I found it, the other three players were already in the lobby,
Everyone else (including the killer) was around rank 18 so it looks like rather than make everyone wait even longer, it put us together so that we got to play.
If this is the reason it happens, personally I will take it, because I would rather have a "too easy" game or a "too difficult" game than no game at all.

i'll admit, i didnt see you were a survivor, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't SWF even if you were not in it.

@BunnyTheHutt Which brings us back to the original counter-point: Assume the other three survivors were SWF. That means the 3-man SWF were ranks 19, 19, and 20. Being partnered with a Rank 11 solo-survivor and a rank 13 killer means the matchmaking is screwed-up. Two rank 19s and a rank 20 should not be partnered with an 11, or matched against a 13.

I've been in this spot, except the killer was rank 15 and I was rank 8. I'm still getting rank 16-20 killers as a red rank when playing with swf (the farthest from me being either 11 or 15). I would love for the matchmaking to be looked at. I don't want to bully babies. :O

You still don't seem to understand what the issue is. I don't know why you're having such a complicated time understanding it still.
SWF or not isn't the issue, the issue is the fact that I, a rank 11 was paired with rank 19s/20 while going against a rank 13. Rank 19s/20 shouldn't be paired with player 8-9 ranks higher than them, or paired against killer 6-7 ranks higher than them. The matchmaking system is all screwed up. That is what this whole post is about.
