Deathgarden is very different from DbD. Hunters there are an actual threat, for starters. If you get caught, you'll most likely die, period. The gameplay also features high mobility.
Personally, I think it's a fun game.

From what i have seen it's kind of a more fast paced dead by daylight with guns.The whole idea of the game is similar to dead by daylight.Multiple survivors trying to survive against a blood thirsty killer.

There's similarities in the concept, those being Hunters (Killers), and Scavenegers (Survivors), Scavengers try to escape the DeathGarden, while Hunters attempt to eliminate them before they can do so. But, aside from this main concept, @Orion is very correct. The game is completely different from DBD.
There's different Scavengers for you to play; Ghost, Switch, Sawbone, Inked, Fog, etc. Different characters have different abilities; Invisibility, Cloning, Reviving/Healing, Smoke Screens. Then there's also the perks, which you can have two active at a time for; Stamina buffs, blood gathering buffs, etc.
It's a very fast-paced game, as a Scavenger you are constantly marking objectives and other items so your whole team can see them, gathering blood, and ultimately it's a battle to earn EXP. Exits open for Scavengers when they deliver 250 blood to the towers, and or once the timer runs out.
Originally, I played this game when it very first release, and it was completely a heaping pile of dog sh*t. Now, I actually genuinely enjoy playing it, and I recommend it to all of my friends, and have a small group of people who I play it with from time to time. Fair warning though, in the beginning the Hunter being able to insta-execute you may seem broken and or very wrong, but while Hunter's are strong, Scavengers can also be just as strong and illusive. I hardly have a problem with dying much as Scav. Maybe watch some videos or reviews, go through the trailers again and make your final decision. I personally just have enjoyed it so far.
PS: If you saw the game when it first released you'd be impressed by how it turned out now as well, I'll link one or two videos of the old Deathgarden for you to compare that heaping pile of ass to this now decent game. The first four links are the reboot of DG, while the last one just shows how it transformed over time with BHVR.

I enjoy it much more then DbD. Yes it needs some balance changes but its only out for 3 weeks give it some time and its already in a better place then DbD after you got some skill.
But remember deathgarden is a team focused game playing alone puts you on a big disadvantage just keep that in mind if you lose playing solo and dont take it too hard.

It certainly looks a lot better than it did before. I've been watching Marth play and the game looks pretty decent.
