Chase Music That Would Fit Each Killer

Hey all, so recently I have been listening to the dead by daylight soundtrack on the way to work, and i have been specifically interested in the custom music of the killers on the menu and wondered why they don't have their own chase themes. So I put together a set of songs that i feel could fit as chase music for each killer.

Now I know these will never be in the game. This isn't a "I want these songs in game" post, just sort of a "what if" scenario. I have chosen a song that's musical themes (in my opinion) fit with the killer I link it to, and my opinion on why I think it fits. Maybe someday the Devs will make their own chase music for each of the killers that really fit well with the type of horror and intimidation they display.

So this one is pretty obvious, because I feel for most people when they hear this theme the Trapper is the first to come to mind. It just has a way of fitting his intimidating look.

This song gives me the feeling of "I don't know where it is" up until the most intense part of it. The title feels fitting for me too, as the wraith is "Closing in" without you being aware.

Hillbilly was the first I had some trouble with, until it clicked to me that the music would also have to fit what was happening around you. When I imagined the chainsaw revving as this played it just made sense to me.

This is the first song not a part of the DBD soundtrack, and what led me to it for the nurse was the chanting(?) that happens as the song plays out. It almost sounds like gasping to me, and as we know the nurse has some breathing problems. Also play this and sound effects of the nurses scream and frankly its horrifying.

This one gives me a very "feral hunter" vibe, and in my opinion, that fits the cannibalistic hag to a tea.

The reason other than the fact the song belongs to another psychopathic doctor is that the song reeks of insanity. Just like you do when you get shocked.

This song has a very pred vs. prey/Hunter vs. Hunted vibe that the huntress would just be the obvious pick.

This was the only chase theme from any TCM movie I could find. Having not watched the movies, I am unaware if there is any more iconic chase song from the series i could've picked. Please let me hear if you have any other suggestions.

Now while this song doesn't fit the game's atmosphere, it is a very iconic theme from the first movie. Maybe if they could somehow get this into the game like they did Myers', they could make it more gritty.

The chase part really starts around the 0:44 mark. Saw was another series I have never seen but I am pretty sure there was no chase scenes in the first one, so this one was the best choice to me.

To me this made perfect sense. A chaotic, bouncy tune of evil. Imagine hearing this as your choking on a bottle of pain. (Music is from Dark Deception.)

Frankly this was the hardest one to think of, and I hate what I chose. I tried finding music from the grudge or the Ring that was fast enough to constitute a chase vibe, but couldn't find anything. Please leave any ideas for another one.

This is a sped up version of "Closing in" if I am correct, but it manages to be different enough to really fit into the vibe of a reckless frenzied attacker.

This was another hard one but when the fast chanting started to play looking at her model while it played just made it click. It felt like it works to me. Plus the chanting helps add to the whole "ancient" thing. (Music from Dark Deception)

Scream is another movie I haven't watched, so again, there is probably a better song out there, but I feel this is a good mix between being stalked and chased at the same time, which really helps with the theme of ghostface.


Again i'm not saying these should be in the game (besides the ones that already are) , that's just stupid, but its just an idea of how the devs could probably go about making custom chase music for each killer. It would also add the fun of finding out who the killer is by guessing what song is playing when it gets near.

This was a long post and I apologize but hopefully this gave you some entertainment. and if you have any ideas for custom killer tracks, let me know. I love hearing peoples takes on musical themes for characters.
