Earning Killers?
Just quickly asking, I am considering buying DBD (PS4) but I'm taken back by all the DLC. I heard you can earn Killers through in game shards but I wanted to know how long this would take, on average I guess (more specifically for Legion as I'd like to play as them). Any help would be much appreciated!

You can only buy non licensed characters with shards and one of them costs 9000 shards. 9000 shards aren't a lot but you need to play in order to earn them. If you want to get all DLCs (non licnsed characters otherwise you have to pay with real money) it will take quite a long time.

It takes 9000 shards to purchase a non-licensed character(so GF, Freddy and etc. can be unlocked only with real money). Right now, there are 8 characters obtainable with shards on console.
You earn shards by leveling up, 300 shards for each level(after 50, at the lower levels you gain less shards). You level up by playing. You get 500 xp for every game, survivor or killer. It doesn’t matter if you have played well or not, as long as you don’t DC/died really quickly. In case you DC, you gain zero shards. Just to give you a perspective, after you reached lvl 50, you need 4200 xp (roughly 8-9 games)to level up.
Bottom line, you need to grind, and you need to grind hard. It’s not impossible, but it takes time. If you play daily, and save your shards only to unlock characters(you can buy outfits and perks with shards), you should be fine.
