Adding Brown Addons to Basekits
what brown addon would you add to each killer's base kit to make them more viable?
- Trapper: Trapper Sack - he needs too much setup for a lot of people, this will lessen some of that
- Wraith: The Hound - he's a tracker, and having that as part of his base kit makes sense
- Hillbilly/Cannibal: Chainsaw Files - honestly, reducing the noise from these things is just a QoL thing
- Nurse: doesn't really need it
- Huntress: Berus Toxin - granting exhaustion is one of the best ways to antiloop
- Shape: Tacky Earrings - more to help new Myers players, I notice some people getting lost when trying to stalk in chases
- Hag: Bog Water - honestly, she doesn't need this either, but making survivors have to crouch for longer is nice
- Doctor: Moldy Electrode - he needs more antilooping, and this one helps a lot
- Nightmare: Garden Rake - this guy has a problem with movement speed, so let's put a band-aid on it
- Pig: John's Medical File - faster ambush would mean better mindgames at pallets
- Clown: Smelly Inner Soles - this guys real problem is how often he has to slow down or become just another stabby boi, this helps that
- Spirit: she really doesn't need changes to her base kit
- Legion: Friendship Bracelet - since the killer's current design is to bounce between survivors, a mechanic that facilitates that is best to buff
- Plague: Limestone Seal - infecting objects is nice, but it shouldn't be a distraction from looking for survivors
- Ghost Face*: "Philly" - increasing the threat of being stalked for that last 1% in a chase makes survivors actually potentially fear him
*really shoulda just been named The Ghost

Trapper Bag, Moldy Electrode, and Combat Straps would all be really good buffs to viability.

Huntress with exhaustion addons in her basekit? Mmmm sorry but no.

Care to be constructive with the criticism? Perhaps an alternative?
30 seconds of exhaustion if you get hit by a hatchet isn't exactly huge against good survivors - most of us can duck.

I wouldn't mind seeing "The Ghost" - Soot on Wraith.
His special Hit score is called "Surprise Attack" after all, might as well try and make it more surprising.

The only one I'm not big on is Berus Toxin. I think that should just stay an add-on.
Of all the ones you mentioned, I think the one that absolutely needs to happen the most is Moldy Electrode for Doctor. His base shock range is atrocious IMO.

Wraith used to have built in bloodhound. They got rid of it. Probably because it made escaping him when he was cloaked and you were injured nearly impossible.

@ElusivePukka Its not just 30 seconds. Its 30 seconds of not running.
In a chase you're never going to recover from exhaustion add-ons.

I'm okay with everything but the Base Kit exhaustion hatchets. A killer shouldn't have the ability to exhaust survivors in their base kit.
4 -
Huntress - Bandaged Haft
Freddy - Kid's Drawing
Plague - Blessed Apple (not white, but more needed)
The rest I agree or don't play the killer enough to say if that's what I want.

Trapper should ALWAYS start with 2 traps. Considering how low his map pressure is and that he needs to navigate the whole map for a trap, increasing the standard amount of traps should make him more viable.

Sounds like people aren't confident in their ability to dodge hatchets in a chase - though there's only been one alternative proposed. As for 30 seconds of 'not running' - do you never wait at loop corners or to make sure a pallet is being broken? feelsbadman
Thank you @thesuicidefox, though I wonder if just increasing throw rate is good enough. Her big problem is with loops, and without those hatchets getting something extra she can quickly become an M1 killer - albeit an often efficient one. But hey, if it's what people like it's what I'm wanting to hear, even if I disagree :P
I thought about Kid's Drawing, and Wool Shirt made a lot of sense too, but I tried to think of what wasn't going to change much with his rework. Only time will tell, of course.
Blessed Apple, though, that's an uncommon addon. Those are a whole 'nuther level of beast

@Groxiverde as a huntress main I completely agree, plus Berus toxin is a brown add-on and is already more than enough to end a chase fast let alone the hinders add-ons

If they reverted her exhaustion addons to deplete like old exhaustion? i could consider maybe berus toxin with maybe a 15-20s timer. meaning if your quick you can avoid deadhard.
but with exhaustion and how it depletes only when not running? no. thats way to powerful and negates all but sprintburst immediately.
shock electrodes range, should be base kit, along with a few others though.

It isn't as much as not being confident with dodging hatchets, it's the face that a killer that can shut down a survivors perks like that. The Berus Snake is enough. The Venomous Concoction is just absolute overkill with new exhaustion rules.

Huntress's shouldn't be the Berus Toxin because it'll immediately shut down most exhaustion perks. If it does happen, then it needs to follow the old Exhaustion rules.
The others are fine. Some, like Doctor's Moldy Electrode, are needed badly. His base shock range is atrocious.
1 -
Moldy Electrode for doc would be great. He can actually combat a lot of loops with it that he can't with base shock range
1 -
Idk why people are getting so upset at basekit exhaustion on one killer. There's survivor perks that outright negate killer abilities, why is it so OP to have a mid tier killer counter like 4 perks, of which you only ever have 1 anyway
2 -
Exhaustion addons should be removed, not added to basekits lol
0 -
Care to explain why
1 -
exhaustion addons should be reworked so that the resulting exhaustion goes down in chases
right now there are brown and yellow addons that effectively remove perks from the game at key moments. walking for 30 seconds in total mid chase is not feasible, for reasons that should be obvious. in the huntress's case, at least you have to aim the hatchet properly in order to apply the effect - much more egregious is clown's exhaustion addon since you don't even have to really aim it at all, it just needs to land in the general vicinity or on a loop the survivor is using
i'd be totally fine with exhaustion addons if they weren't effectively permanent until the chase ended, but right now it's very easy to just delete survivors' perks with very common addons. the exhaustion nerf should have coincided with these addons being reworked, but they weren't, so here we are
i don't think any addons should be added to huntress's base kit except maybe deerskin gloves
