Ruin plus thanatophobia too OP?

What do people think about this?

I mainly play survivor, so I am not that good of a killer, but I've noticed that when I combine these two perks, the match is extremely easier to me, to the point that many times survivors only get 1 gen or sometimes no gens at all.

Is this just a coincidence that when using these perks I get not very experienced survivors?

Or, is it that the mix of perks is truly too powerful? And if this is the case, it makes me wonder, should it be perk combinations that should not be allowed in order to make it fair?

Let me know what you think.

It has a nice synergy, since slowing the gen down with thana will make it so more hex skill checks will appear (since it takes more time to finish the gen), making it more possible to have some of them regress the generator.

With that being said i personally think it is not too powerful. Ruin is still an Hex, so once the totem is gone, it will break the nice slow down. Curious to see what others think about it tho'.

Thana adds 3 seconds to a single gen done by a single survivor without any skillchecks or perks or toolboxes to boost it even further.

If 4 survivor each sit on a single gen they will finish all of them in around 70-80 seconds.

With ruin even with tapping it will take up to 100-120 seconds.

With these gens done all survivors have to do is to finish 1 more gen to essentially end the game.

If one survivor is taking care of the killers aggro and there is no ruin, 3 survivors can finish all gens in around 3 minutes. Average chase time is somewhere around 20 seconds, and that results in a single hit on a survivor since chase ends when survivor is hit or escapes.

Survivors finish the game in 3 minutes and Killer has to finish 8 chases given that survivors are never saved and wait in line to get chased one after another.

Killers are already heavily pressured on time even with these perks and ruin usually lasts around 30 seconds and thanatophobia makes so minor of a difference that brown toolbox easily covers it.

Thanatophobia and sloppy butcher was deemed too op to survis that thana got nerfed.

Half jokingly , thanatophobia is the perk that only turns the meters red. The effect itself is quite weak.

But devs and survs only seem to see the 4 stacked version, which is entirely (and easily) avoidable.

So, i guess the general opinion here is that they are not OP and is just survivor not playing the correct strategy.

Thanatophobia requires extreme amounts of pressure to perform well with, and there are few killers that can TRULY provide that amount of pressure. Even then, Nurse's and Billy's would much rather take other perks that provide much more value within the game.

I use both on my Plague, since she can be genrushed in 2 seconds
