Deep Wound timer is very flawed

Ever since Legion's nerf I don't think I have seen the deep wound timer start to go down even once. Whether I'm playing survivor or killer, Deep wound does nothing. I have gone a whole match without healing it before and it wasn't detrimental to me any more than a regular injury. What's the point of even having it in the game right now?

It is stupid how it doesn’t go down while in terror radius but they did that because of moon walkers

I'd say the distance shouldn't be the terror radius and instead be some set smaller number. Like 8-16 meters or something.

At this point I would like Moderately difficult skill checks on mending even though that would barely do anything but at least it would do something :/

I think a reasonable solution would be to make the timer go down the same way plague infection buildup works. So sprinting and performing actions. And have the timer go down by 10% every time you drop a pallet or vault a window. Maybe give it 60 seconds by default with this change. This would make sense anyway because exerting yourself with a serious injury is going to do serious damage
