I find this so irritating, when you stop to pull down a pallet and you instead start healing. This post has probably been submitted before but this is an annoyance that should be fixed...
I feel that it's so obvious that I might be missing something. Is there a way of overriding the self-care perk when standing still next to a pallet?

You could loop it or drop it early.

Don't run Self Care it's more of a detriment to you then a benefit the way to override it is to move while dropping a pallet.

Aren't they mapped to different action keys?

Not on console. You can remap some controls but I was never able to find a satisfying alternative on PS4.

For some stupid reason console refuses to utilize half the buttons on the controller
