Any reason that Freddy's aura can be revealed while awake?

While Freddy is 32m away from an awake survivor he is completely invisible, so why can perks reveal his aura?

The Spirit's aura can not be revealed while she is phasewalking or even during her passive phasing so why doesn't this apply to Freddy?

    What's the point of aura reading if you have him in front of you then

    I'm wondering that too as well. I know pre-work Freddy he wasn't affected unless you fall asleep but the rework Freddy is. It should have remained the same until you fall asleep.
