Where does the urgent need of commenting come from (steam)?

My steam account was 8-9 years old when I bought DbD. 0 comments. And than it all started, oh boy... The pages are filling and I already delete the worst trash and insults you guys are posting.

-rep language i can´t read

Maybe nobody told you, but there is NO reputation system on steam. Ok? Nobody can read or understand the bs you are posting that is not playing DbD. What do you want to achieve?

    +rep/-rep started as a sort of intended feedback system for Steam trading I'm pretty sure. Obviously still completely and utterly pointless from the very start as a scammer could just make 48 alts and comment "+rep good trade :))" on their own profile if they wanted to, which is why trading usually uses third-party reputation systems like SteamREP and the like.

    Nowadays it's just a complete meme, it's not uncommon to see people comment stuff like "post -rep cheater aimbot on my profile and I'll comment back" on announcements because such comments are just a total joke. Some people in DBD seem like they never got the memo and do it entirely unironically, I guess to "warn" future players that they are playing with a naughty boy?

    So either collect them and laugh at them, curate them and delete all except your favorites, or limit commenting permissions to friends only/private 😄

    Comments for dbd are the first thing i look.

    -rep farming without borrow time? Dodge

    -rep doesnt do gens? Dodge

    +Rep Amazing guy with experience? Lets play.

    Its very important when you play alone.

    Comments for killers are useless unless u have a program to see the killer profile before the start

    It´s mainly survivors commenting...

    you can´t see the profiles of the killer in advance, if you write down...

    it won´t help anybody because they can only read this after the game when they have already found out that i am a c*ncer Nurse... nobody cares. I am not collecting life threats and I don´t want to set my profile private because of some ids. These kids should be perma banned in steam immediately.

    Had the same experience, as soon as I started to post things in the dbd steam forums, what have some people dislike.

    Just make your profile only for friends, or private, problem solved.
