+++ PC playerbase update: Aug 2019 +++
I hope that it will get better...

It won't without any changes to either the killer meta, survivor objectives or solo survivors in general. As much as I like dedicated servers, it's not that impressive enough to bring players back.

Did the player base say something about balance?, "Devs"> Ohh no We dont have a clue what we are doing"
2 -
Seems fine to me, if you exclude all the events (free weekends, double BP, and so on).

Oh look another DBD is dying thread
Wow it's not like people have said that for the last 4 years
7 -
Killers wanted this, the map changes are just going to be the nail in the coffin. It's not fun for survivors anymore. Hasn't been for a very long time.

A year on year overlay:
2016 and 2017 the blurred ones
2018 raised until september
2019 to date is the one with different color
If august will not be good this will be the first summer from 2016 to have a drop instead of a raise.
We should hope for the 2nd usual raise in september, but with half the number of players of last year?

When will you learn?

Learn what. I don't speak Einstein

Sorry i dont like steamdb.
It looks too fragmented and with peak players instead of avg is hard to read a trend.
I prefer steamcharts.

OP has been posting these kind of threads for the last month claiming that the playerbase is dying, despite the fact he has been corrected a lot of times.
I think he wants to blame killers for it or something like that, because otherwise i see no reason why would he keep posting these kind of threads

You are wrong.
I started monitoring it a bit before the serum event (in the game much longer than that)

I dont know. To me it just shows there is less players on this game.
That would not surprise me since the only content the Devs are making are cosmetics and New killer / perks that will be nerfed 2 weeks later. Do you expect a business model like that to work on a long term ? Me not.
The only reason people are still playing is because this is an high emotion stimulating game that triggers addiction.

I can see that killer playerbase drop around feb 2018, jeez the howling grounds patch, it was so ######### ahahah, good times.

"The only reason people are still playing is because this is an high emotion stimulating game that triggers addiction."
Doesnt that apply for every single videogame out there tho? they are all a waste time looking at it from a perspective.

I must disagree on this

Legitttt, I remember though one time everyone thought dbd was REALLY dying was the start of 2017. The devs really managed to pick it up off its feet and create an even larger playerbase

Oh look, another thread that looks at PEAK players, instead of AVERAGE players.
2 -
is fun if you use head on... but thats it for me tbh

True.
To keep a fish, dont get him bored, add high emotional impact like frustration, high grind and a zest of social factor, good recipe. That, is the real toxicity.
But that wasnt my point, Im just saying this business model is low effort / medium reward, and that Im not surprised by if players would quit.

Not even remotely fun perks can save what they're doing to maps like badham. While I agree the maps needed some tweaks, re-designing the inner parts of the house wasn't one of them. Makes no sense to me that railings need to be broken to give killers even more options, and the survivor just helpess, and correct me if i'm wrong I haven't even seen a pallet spawn upstairs anymore. And they put a giant hole in the floor for no reason. Even worse map design then previous version.

I am starting to think you are one of the people that think Haddonfield is a fair and balanced map. New Badham has been universally PRAISED for its good map design.
2 -
it looks prettier imo, but yeah things like the totem spots( i agree they need to be more hidden but its just too much) and the house changes seem too good particularly for killers

Nah, sounds to me like you just don't play survivor. Like about most of this forum, sadly.

Do you think Haddonfield is fair and balanced? I am actually a Rank 5 Survivor, not too high, I know. I made the choice when I came to these forums that I would start playing Survivor because I wanted to UNDERSTAND Survivor's side of things and their issues with the game. I am a far better killer player, but, I know the Survivor side of things too.

Exactly this /\ ..... we haven't gotten a new item for survivors in years....we haven't gotten new offerings etc..... we only just started getting new loops for maps and the devs finally evolved far enough to the point where they started to move the main buildings around but its only on 1 map.....
Yes nothing actually new comes to the game.... killer, a survivor skin and sometimes a map.......
I only have little hope left and that hope is the Archives.

You're like the 1 person I've seen talk bad about the new springwood..... those springwood maps are perfect... the best work I've seen on maps from bhvr

Since you like steam charts at least post all the info so people can see its a bait post.
The peaks are always due to free weekends, Events, DBP or DLC releases.
Since June 2018 the game has had a very steady playerbase.

Oh look it's this guy again. How pleasant.

I believe in your previous post concerning this exact same subject your concerns were addressed and a correct graph was supplied to you.
Please do not keep reposting threads on the same topic in this manner.
