Requirements should be met before starting a thread

Unpopular opinion that could help the health of the forum. I'm tired of these new players that keep posting the same discussions over and over (noed nerf, x killer op because he killed me, survivor buff...). So what i'm asking is a system that allows only user with at least 500 hours on pc/platinum trophy on ps4 (with some way to verify it) to post a discussion, people who actually played the game, explored it and can have maturated an opinion based on their experiences. Plus you devs could easily filter the real balance feedbacks, balancing the game around at least purple ranks, and not yellow ranks rants.

I know it seems unfair, but it is exactly how real life voting systems works, only experienced people have the right to vote, since they're old enough to have an opinion.

@Kerbert i just said starting thread, in order not to saturate the forum with the same discussions. Opinions on others threads are fine. Plus i wouldnt say that the requirements i've mentioned are that extreme, but they can be lowered anyways...

So basically only 0.1% of the PS4 population should be allowed to make a thread? Also the platinum trophy isn’t a good measure of skill. What if someone just doesn’t want to get it?

Same thing with hours. What if someone just wants to meme for 500 hours?

Also, everyone should be allowed to express their opinion.

What?!? I have the platinum but this is outrageous. I’m just gonna call it and say:

Sorry but forums are a place where EVERYONE is free to express their opinion, how about instead of belittling the newer players that post here we instead try to teach them how to counter and play around certain things to keep them around for more time?

I guess since me and @GrootDude are one of the few with the Platinum, only we should be allowed to speak on the forums.

Surely it's good to hear from sub-100 hour players, they're the players BHVR needs to hang on to.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion here. Period.

If you are tired of seeing the same posts, avoid them. It's very simple and far more logical than asking for a restriction that has far too many holes to be at all viable.

I remember a while back when some people here thought they would start posting threads that "Only Veterans" were allowed to reply in. That went down about as well as a fart in a spacesuit if i remember rightly.

I can't see an idea like this faring any better.

Hmm. We all got our word to say, I guess.

The fault is on the devs that listen too much and dont have any clue where their game is going.

well that idilic policy of same opportunities is valid cuz this "Vanilla-based" board does not allow karma/points/weight/score for individual users

In my opinion, not everyone should have the same power, so vets with higher rep and more post should have some power, like easing the ban reasons cough S^ros cough, but is what this vanilla tech is.

I understand your communist-like vision, does not mean it is the best, since there are so many gaming boards with rep-based and vets have more freedom/respect than 1st-posters, not necessarily to have freedom for breaking the rules thought

In the end you guys are giving some power like custom avatars to reputated users lol

To be clear, you get the icon for being an example to the community, which anyone can be. Notice how I said, "Anyone" because no one is excluded from being a community example.

Btw, you shouldn't be a community example just because you want an icon. You should be a community example because you have passion for the community! :)

This won't happen. First, it's not possible on all platforms. If you're playing on a system that does not have an API that allows us to see your hours played, then we'd have to exclude that entire platform's playerbase (not going to happen).

More importantly, everyone is welcome to give feedback. This is a game for everyone, not just a select few. This doesn't mean that we'll jump on that one unpopular opinion and take it at face value, but we invite everyone to give their two cents.

Everyone's opinion is valid on how they view things. People may not agree with an idea or opinion but that doesn't mean it's wrong to post it.

New players may think something is OP that the majority disagree with and make a thread and that should be used to educate them on why it is not instead of bashing them.

It doesn't matter if you have 10 hours or 3k hours as most threads posted are generally about what someone beleive's is good or bad for the game.

New players starting one are good feedback on their first impressions of the game. First impressions are important as it is what will keep them coming back to play long enough to become a vet player.

Unpopular opinion, but people who list requirements for the forum should be banned outright
