Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Would Wraith be too op if he was fully invisible?

The answer is probably no.. since his reappearance time already reveals him and he's slowed down.. let's look at prayer beads spirit.. she's fully invisible and can instantly reappear. and wraith is not fully invisible and he cannot instantly reappear. so would wraith be too op if he was fully invisible?

what are you talking probably.. and no?

lol answer is absolutely yes unconditionally, if he get fully invisible he is super op

survivors not using sprint always getting free hit by wraith

fully invisible blocking even easier and 100% viable any places to success

haha... than ill drop spirit and nurse play wraith from now on

um are you being sarcastic? he still has to unclock giving the survivors time, also a free hit is no big deal, most stealth killers are good at getting free hits, however if you think wraith being invisible is op cuz of a free hit then how about a free grab from prayer beads spirit

Not rly. Unless you are playing his silent combo (that's btw Ultra rare add-on) you will not get free hit most of the time. They still have a lot of warnings before he can attack: sound of his foodsteps, bell, "ding dong" and also during his uncloack animation he is starting to being visible again.

On top of that Survivors mostly are in "save" places where they can just jump into jungle gym OR sprint to pallet before Wraith will finish his animation.

Only time I would see that "OP" is when playing that "Scare jump" combo (Ultra-rare add-on needed btw).

pffs i said "free hit from wraith's ability"... i can't believe you still not understood

are you keep try to being you don't know?

wraith's free hit is absolutely different with other killers he just can be invisible again

but other killers force to wm1 after ambush

can you stop being potato? idk did you even try math this

if wraith fully invisible you can unclock from nowhere, survivors having very short time to reach pallet and even most gen spots not enough time to reach pallets without sb if you run after wraith unclock very closely

also wraith can catch up sprint burst after they activated it so acceleration and speed is faster than them, even if they reach the pallet still that survivor can't guess where he is after break pallets, if wraith player blocking next pallet and keep doing that can always gets free hit, its different with other killers

the wraith still has to uncloak which will reveal him already and slow him down. don't stay it's op when you didn't even test it

  • prettyf
    prettyf Member Posts: 442

his uncloak speed is not that slow as you imgine

if he possible to uncloak stick to survivors everytime he just being op without addons

yes he can't ignore pallets and windows

but thats also having option like you can push front of pallet and almost uncloak to pressure survivor and make them drop, even if you get hit still you made shorter loop,

if you do that in windows they have to pre-vault windows and wraith vault faster than them, its already okish option now

i think he should invisible outside 20m survivors

    but not a fully invisible

    Spirit goes completely invisible.

Its freaking boring to verse as there is barely any counterplay to it.

There are better ways to go about it.

because this is too obviously op idea

other things in game might worth through test servers and not intuitive like new killers and perks because they didn't saw it

but in this case i "know" if wraith can uncloak stick with survivor before blocking position to force survivor to longer pass with less time to react

possible to hit every time you unclock if survivors not stick with windows and pallets

or if gen structure is blocked or cornered wraith viable uncloak unblockable enterance position like

    wraith l hole l__

    l___gensurv__lpallet l______

you know this structure for example, its very close to pallets

but surv have to go little longer pass and even if they have sprint not possible

because wraith can block upper hole in this structure if survivor goes up,

is surv goes left he must getting free hit because bellprint is faster

its certain positions now and survivors acting before he uncloak so he consider as weak now

but if he become fully invisible that possible in every structures everytime

if you find survivor middle of map they can't see but this case also already done with chase

and he have very good tool of patrol camping, which no heartbeat to deactivate borrowed time, even when they activated it still you can chase them cloak to drain all meter and uncloak to they can't run lol (if they stop mending they lain at spot)

non full health survivors have to stick pallets or windows to not down for free

even full health survivors can't loop him like wm1

because you can drop him and go find another surv after free hit

or wait until injured surv relief and get out from structure,

it sounds funny but not balanced!!!!

Survivors will obviously claim op. Because most of them are allegedly potatoes.

"Outside x metres" might be a legit middleground.

I play survivor mostly and think if there should be a distance within the survivor where wraith is slightly visable it shouldn't be more than 10m. But all honesty I think he should just be invisible 100% when cloaked.

Additionally all killers need to be buffed, except nurse and spirit, imo

I think he definitely should be completely invisible outside of a 32m radius.

He only needs to be totally invisibile beyond a certain distance, but otherwise when approaching survivors you should use cover, not go in the middle of nowhere hoping they don't see you.

He already can go full invisible by standing still. It's a super easy way to hook camp with a mori ready when someone saves them.

I don't understand why he isn't fully invisible. Like already stated, you get a clear warning when he's un-cloaking, you can see him un-cloaking, and being able to spot him cloaked half way across the map completely ruins his stealth...

That would buff the "Swift Hunt" series & Coxcombed Clapper.

But since he's one of the lesser ones, i'd love to see it be tested anyway, though i'd prefer to see his base movement speed while cloaked get upped hard.

Id love this ! I dont think it would be OP tho.

I did the math btw. When you uncloak the Survivor gains about 4 meters on you.

Just make him completely invisible, he'd be a better stealth killer.

I had an addon idea which could be a change to his current addon which is similar to this.

    • Being invisible no longer hides your terror radius
    • You no longer have a shimmer around you when invisible

This would just be hilarious to mess with survivors.

I would give him a addon that makes him completly invisible but tbh it wouldn't be OP in my opinion.

Freddy is already like that. Might as well give wraith that little buff.

Oh mine wasn't the only thread talking about this, was not aware, this thread has a lot of constructive criticism though.......weird.

Well since everyone is actually using their brain here I'll chime in.

An add-on making him completely invisible would be interesting, it can be another ''Ghost'' add-on since Ghost only has 1 while the other variants have several. Doing it this way means he has the invisibility but it doesn't actually change him in anyway. This could be the equivalent of Spirit's Prayer Beads, maybe another Purple?

Ghost: mud- survivors beyond 28m perceive you as completely invisible whilst cloaked.

Gain 50% more blood points in the hunter category

Ghost: white- survivors beyond 20m perceive you as completely invisible whilst you are cloaked

Gain 75% more blood points in the hunter category

Ghost: blood- survivors beyond 12m perceive you as completely invisible whilst you are cloaked

Gain 100% more blood points in the hunter category

Also for those concerned with the blood point boosts most of your hunter score events occur during chases, therefore, you'd have to de-cloak inorder to get as many blood points off it as possible it makes you choose between being completely invisible or grinding or the perfect balance between
