More sugar, less salt!

At least one out of every 3 games i play as killer (I mainly refrence killer here because it happens far more often than when I play survivor) whether I've played well or got my ass handed to me, I'm greeted by that familiar little "new message" notification & I prepare for the "ass-salt" lol (sorry for the terrible pun haha). I personally can't help but kind of feel bad for these folks but I've seen how it affects other gamers out there and wanted to share what adding a dash of sugar can do ๐Ÿ˜Š! it always makes for a more enjoyable gaming experience and is better for the overall rep of the games we love if the community attached to is has good standing as well. A bad community can kill a game... with online games, no community equals no game! Just wanted to show how by keeping your composure and using a little kindness you can deter this kind of immature behavior. To the people who enjoy talking crap or trolling and only play with intent do so, you're a parasite sucking the life out of games, its the artificial stroke of self satisfaction to your ravenous ego that you enjoy... Not the actual game. So leave the game itself alone and find a better food source for your constant appetite for attention. That being said, here are some examples of "throwing a dash of sugar over the salt"

*remember that pops button and win or lose its good sportsmanship to reach out and say good game regardless ๐Ÿ˜Š kill em with kindness as they say lol

    Can't click the messages? I put them into a collage to prevent taking up so much space... If they're hard to see I'll post them separately to make viewing easier.

    Then find a more suitable substitute and apply it to the analogy that is more tailored to your liking? If you are stating in a literal sense that you don't like sugar, that is irrelevant to the subject at hand lol

    I personally do not like sugar on my dinner, I do like salt, but I do not like salt on my cereals. It's a tough world out there

    Too much salt can ruin a perfectly good dinner and too much sugar can make you sick... Its finding the right mix to apply to each one that brings the best to every meal ๐Ÿ˜

    Everytime a Survivor calls me out at the end of the match, I always give the classic
    "<3 Love you too" response. They normally burn themselves out a little while after that.
    Alternatively, someone once got mad at me for camping, and as a response I said "If it makes you feel any better, you were a really pretty lake to camp at <3." It shut them up nicely.

    Exactly, it also shows you truly care when you implement pet names like "cupcake" or "sweetheart" lol like hallmark says, care enough to send the very best ๐Ÿ˜‚

    I got messages as both killer and survivor, sometimes other survivors telling me how to play the game. There is only so many times you can just respond "GG" and exit the convo (I'm on PS4). Maybe 2 months into playing DBD I made my messages friends only, you still get the people who REALLY want to grief you by sending you a friend request with a mean comment but it has definitely helped. It's just sad that you even have to do that.

    I agree, it is very sad that you have to miss out on someone random possibly messaging you with good intent just because the ones with ill intent became such an annoyance. Responding to these attempts at getting a rise out of you in a positive and mature man bar takes away the satisfaction toxic players thrive off of, and if more people resisted the urge to retaliate or just flat out ignored them, the attempts made by said people would result in the opposite of what they're hoping to get which is an argument. Hopefully this community will mature and the ones who feed off of the toxicity will eventually be forced to feed that appetite elsewhere. But people have to stop throwing them scraps.

    @Master
    -if you're noodles and salt are in metaphorical relation to the analogy I chose; no one said you had to waste the salt...

    • if you were asking a literal question... I cannot in good conscious dignify that with an answer lol ๐Ÿฌ
