Summer Sale: Issue or Intentional?

I've noticed that with the summer sale, the outfits may be on sale, but the individual pieces of the outfit are not on sale.

For example, Adam's freshman outfit is on sale for 300AC (down from 1200AC). But, the shirt alone is 400AC. This means the entire outfit is cheaper than just a component of it.

I dont know if this was intentional or not, but shouldn't the individual components of the outfit also receive whatever percentage sale (75%, 50%, 35%, 20%, etc) the entire outfit is receiving?

It just doesnt make sense for the entire outfit to be on sale, yet the individual components of the outfit aren't on sale.

Here's to hoping this was a mistake and not intentional.

    Thanks for the answer. That's unfortunate because I don't necessarily want every piece of the killer/survivor outfits. But ah well. It's a business move.
