Plagues Iridescent Seal ultra rare
I have started playing Plague a lot recently and I was just wondering why this Ultra rare has so many large downsides.
I understand that corrupt purge is quite powerful but at the same time this IS an Ultra rare so I feel it shouldn’t have them.
I dunno though maybe there is something I am missing but what does everybody think about it?

Too many downsides, i agree. Keep one and ONLY one and it's fine.

this confuses me too. there are some ultra rares that are just baffling. Amanda's letter for the pig, for instance. its just... weird.

Buff this, make her other ultra rare (the one that gives aura reading) perhaps a rare, in order to promote cleansing on the chance she might have it a lot more often.
if other ultra rare is swapped to a rare. make a new ultra rare that makes infection incredibly fast and keeps infection on objects for far longer.
plague doesn't particularly need buffs but i feel these would be fun changes.
deffinately needs less downsides on the seal addon though

Well I’m glad it’s not just me then, yeah I like the plague how she is it’s just a couple of her add one, particularly this one, leave something to be desired

You're trying to apply logic to something that isn't logical. The downsides to Iridescent Seal are ridiculous. It basically gives you an unusable version of Corrupt Purge equivalent to just getting it twice normally. As an ultra-rare add-on. Sure, if the stars align and you're in a chase, have line of sight on a survivor, and a generator pops, you can get an easy hit, but you're better off just bringing a better add-on. Like....I could use an ultra-rare to have a garbage version of Corrupt Purge 5 times whenever survivors complete a gen, or I can bring an apple which guarantees me the normal, good version of Corrupt Purge at the time of my choosing.

It shouldn't have downsides TBH. It's actually very worthless in it's current state. The "tremendously reduces Corrupt Purge duration" means it cuts the time almost in half. It's insane, not worth using at all.

Yeah there are a lot of ultra rares that have too many negatives attached to them. I feel like the devs did this to play it safe and not make anything too strong but it seems like they’ve forgotten to go back and edit them after we’ve confirmed them to be straight up trash.

I saw some Plagues who made Iridescent Seal working by using it together with the other ultra rare, Black Incense. Also, I think you can use Iridescent Seal with Tinkerer or even Discordance for some funny plays, but I agree that this add-on is still pretty underwhelming and shouldn't have so many downsides.
Also, Plague has more useless add-ons, like the ones that increases the duration of Corrupt Purge or increases the movement speed while holding Corrupt Purge. I mean, you need a purple add-on to increase her Corrupt Purge duration with 8 seconds. 8 seconds ... for a ######### purple add-on ! Literally all her purple add-ons besides the effectiveness one are worthless.

I just don't use the add-on, you're essentially sacrificing the match in hopes to use an add-on because it requires a generator to pop for it to activate. No thank you....
