Solo Slugging at Endgame
This happens way too often.
I get to the endgame collapse. Killer closes hatch. They down me. Then leave me there for the super slow collapse to kill me instead of just hooking me. Doesn't matter how close the hook is or isn't. This happens nearly every time.
Just kill me and let me go onto my next match ffs.

Yeah, this should have died down by now. The devs should probably do something to fix it.

Jump into locker, might make em wana hook you.

Tried several times. They just put me back down. Even if they end up dropping me to let me run, it doesnt matter. Hatch is closed and killer knows where I am. That exit gate isn't getting opened.

My idea of a fix for this is just let it become a hatch game. If the survivor finds it first, they can leave. If the killer finds it first and closes it, then the survivor just gets endgame sacrificed the second it's shut.
1 -
Meh it doesn't phase me after going through the old hatch stand offs and dealing with hiding Henriettas for so long. Survivors still stall time and run out last second to not give you hit points too but I don't play when I don't have a minute to spare so whatever.
3 -
The only fix I can see is a surrender option, but then how would that work?
4 -
Well, is a hard problem to fix because is not a "problem itself" but a bad behaviour problem. This is taking the player as a hostage in my opinion and should be punished.
6 -
Not too hard to fix. Just have the entity kill me as soon as the killer closes the hatch.

I have to say, as a killer, I adore doing that just cause it looks amazing, sorry, I didn't know you guys felt like that, I'm not gonna do it a lot now
4 -
Well, but you still have a chance to leave from the exit gates (even if that chance is small). As @Masantonio said, a surrender button will be the best idea.

This is reserved for those toxic teabagging flash light clicking survivors.
1 -
I never bring flashlights and tend to hide the whole game...
1 -
What rank killer are you getting
0 -
Like Zixology, I never bring in flashlights (nor items of any kind, as a matter of fact), and I'm a stealth player. I also don't teabag. Yet I, too, have been slugged.
1 -
There is no need for punishment when the devs could simply fix that by adding a suicide mechanic in that scenario.
3 -
MAYBE the hiding is pissing of killers. Like hardcore stealth survivors. I personally tunnel hardcore stealthy survivors till no tomorrow.
0 -
Its not taking anyone hostage. Just tab out and watch some memes on 9GAG, go to the toilet and take a piss, maybe call your parents and chitchat for a minute or two.
The game will be over in 2-4 minutes, at absolute worst. Its not like the "good old times" where killers were held hostage by survivors for 30+ minutes for "shits and giggles".
1 -
Honestly if you get downed as the last survivor the EGC timer should be sped up CONSIDERABLY. As in it runs out in like 10 seconds or something if you're left on the ground, so the killer can pick you up and hook you if they want, or quickly get to see the animation without much waiting around.
And the mindset of people "deserving" it is just silly and petty imo.

I've read posts of killers that tunnel hook saboteurs, pallet loopers, teabaggers, excessive same window vaulters, hardcore gen regressors, body blockers, flashlight users, hardcore stealthy survivors, etc. Is there anything that doesn't piss off a killer except maybe the survivor walking out in plain sight, standing there while making no sudden moves/rude gestures & patiently waiting for the killer to come down them & hook them?
4 -
If you don't like getting slugged run no mither, unbreakable, or just don't get caught, just saying.
1 -
Taking a game hostage means he/she can't "move forward" in the game. When the matches lasted 30+ mins that was taking killer as a hostage.
Is not about how many time last, it's about being forced to stay, meaning for not being punished. The same if the killer hold me in a place where I can't move, yes you can say "The game will last 10 mins as much" but is not about the time itself.
2 -
Being kept hostage means, in terms of Dead by Daylight, that your (as a hostage) only way out is to DC.
When you're being blocked in a corner and the EGC timer is ticking down, then you're not being held hostage. If you're blocked at the start of a game and the killer throws his entire game to keep you blocked, while your fellow survivors do the generators and escape (which trigger EGC) then that's not being held hostage either.
1 -
This version I don't get. I'll slug the last one for the hatch points (With the general philosophy of: If you have a adrenaline, I guess you're free to go) but why leave them for the EGC timer? It's the same amount of points and a killer lobby takes half a century. At least try to find them and hook them. Saves everybody time.
1 -
Just FYI, some survivors will purposefully hide to spite the killer. We're talking about the scenario where the killer willfully slugs someone and just follows them around to make sure they don't get up.
1 -
Your opinion is not fact. Holding the game hostage means there's no way for the game to end unless one or more players disconnect. The OP's complaint, while annoying, isn't holding the game hostage.
1 -
Have you considered the hooks might be gone? A few times I have downed somebody at the gate and the nearby hooks are all used up so I just drop em. If I try to make it to a hook I know is too far away they can just wiggle out and run back to the gate. At that point it's a lost cause unless I leave em on the floor before they can open it.

It's not hiding if the gens are impossibly close together which seems to happen a lot
0 -
Now that is interesting... Would prevent some amount of dcing also.

You survivors are our playthings, just wait patiently for the Entity's warm embrace
1 -
I really wonder what game you are all playing sometimes compared to the one I am. I have seen literally no one do that within the past months.
And, honestly, I dobt really care if Killers do it. Survivors love doing by standing on the exit gates until the very last second. (And, no, its not the "I want to see everyone is safe" crap)

I think it'd be fun if you could mori the last survivor after hatch is closed. Kind of kills the specialness of a mori offering tho.
0 -
What is your point? "Your opinion is not a fact", that's why it's called opinion in the first place. Clearly both are different things, and I put my opinion here which you can agree or disagree and it's perfectly fine.
0 -
I just dc and move on, loose my points, dont care about pips, hey ho to the next game i go.
0 -
Problem.
That means killer finding and closing hatch is automatic win same as killing the last survivor.
If the killer is not a billy/spirit, and doors are an okay distance apart, the last survivor has decent odds of escaping through a gate. Why take that away?
0 -
You're not going to believe me, but the Collapse was at 15% when it automatically dropped to 0% to sacrifice me. I don't know why this happens, but do you think the developers added this into the game as a mercy system for survivors?
0 -
This might be considered taking the game hostage and you might be able to report it since it is intentionally prolonging their death. However the Endgame Collapse will kill them eventually so I'm not sure where it stands. Might want to check with a mod for clarification.

I think that's just the progress bar. It's never been smooth, it goes down in "ticks".
1 -
How about when the last survivor is downed the entity kills them as if the timer just ended.
1 -
I don't care about pips. I DO care about my points though. DCing just makes my time pointless.
