is it normal that people dc against brown addons?
####: "We dont play with exhaustion hatchets #########"
If i used iridescent head i would understand but after 1300h in game this is the first time a full swf dc's because of brown addons. Since im normaly on rank 1 most of the season i wanted to know if its normal on rank 12+ to be so entitled?

Hahaha, any excuse is valid now.

I would never DC against exhaustion add-ons but I sort of understand why they did. Brown add-ons shouldn't be able to completely stop someone's green/purple perk from being useful in a chase.

Killer stuff is supposed to be more powerful than survivor stuff. It's the nature of an asymmetrical game.

Based on the comment in the chat it seems like it was a SWF group that got mad. The current disconnect ban system does not consider such cases. From what is known about the update to the system the new version will not consider this either
On topic: It doesn't matter what you do, people will always find an excuse to disconnect. The only fix is a system that actually works properly and handles cases not just based on the frequency of disconnects. From the sound of it nothing of the like is coming anytime soon

Yep, been there, they just get mad cause it messes up their perks, I've found that from yellow to purple ranks, lol
0 -
Yes but the thing is, they should be the same rarity as the perks they are cancelling out. You shouldn't be able to use exhaustion add-ons every match.

The addon would've only affected two of the players... XD

Some people will DC if you look at them. This has been a problem for a while now...

Well. Easy 11k points. Congrats to that.
They are the type of players that just deserve a "lol". Still, I hope they are not the harbinger of nerf thread opening kids^^.

No, that's literally just doing a 1:1 comparison.

So almost all survivors should just have to deal with one of their perks being removed for half the game every match?

I had 3 pepple DC in a match after discovering I was the Hag.
1 -
Isn't there a perk for that?
0 -
Ohhhh wait.
Removing a complete perk in the complete game,
because you get hit with a hatchet before you could use it?
Hex totems want talk with you,Sir.

I certainly don't know of one, if you do I'd actually like to know what it is.
0 -
Yup, Vigil.

Killers go into matches knowing full well that their totem could be broken at any point, survivors however have no idea whether a killer will be running exhaustion add-ons or not.

Killers have no idea whether survivors will be breaking totems or not. NOED wouldn't activate as often as survivors make it sound if they broke the totems. It's a gamble both ways.

Oh, the survivor equivalent of monstrous shrine? Totally worth wasting a perk slot for 24 seconds of unrecoverable exhaustion instead of 30.
1 -
Only one of them even had a perk that would be effected by the exhaustion lol. You were obviously just outplaying them and they needed an excuse.
Edit: didn't see the Jane perk. If they're salty about something so situational that it honestly shouldn't be exhautsion (imo) then they're still just sore losers.

So 30 seconds is half the match now? Why are you trying to make this seem like a bigger deal than it is?
1 -
EVERYONE knows the exhaustion caused by add-ons is going to last longer than 30 seconds. If it actually worked like that I'd be completely happy going against exhaustion add-ons but the exhaustion is going to last as long as you're in chase.

People will complain about anything, once you know this you'll never be surprised

To add additional information. The match was about 2 minutes long, if at all. One of them got downed around 30 seconds into the match. i hooked him and he dc's. Then 2 insta dc'd after teabaging me. The last one got downd and dc'd a second before i could hook him

3 of them. 1 Sprint Burst, 1 Dead Hard and 1 Head On.

"oh no, you disabeled our spuer crutches we need to win, even though that requires good aim and bad reactions on out part, we will now act like its your fault, toxic killer!" -biased survivor that ragequit the moment he got exhausted from a hatchet
seriously though, how DARE you run the add ons you like?
we all know the survivors rulebook for killers clearly states you eigther play without add ons, or you never use your power! look it up - its rule #287663!
(if you couldnt tell already: sarcasm.)

Without getting into the matter at hand, the problem with exhaustion add-ons is that they are used... during chases?
So why recovering 20% faster from exhaustion would even be a discussion in this case? It's not gonna do anything in chases.
But on my take: I wouldn't DC against it but I avoid using exhaustion add-ons too. I don't usually need to try that hard.

Sounds like you went against exceptionally salty people then. It happens.
The only exhaustion add-on that I find truly problematic is the Clown's, since it requires little to no skill to apply. The others are either well earned (Huntress) or not really useful. The only perk Huntress' exhaustion add-on denies is Dead Hard.

You should know the rules by now. If the survivors aren't having fun and can't win easily then you're just a trash killer and need to get good.
But in all seriousness survivors, especially SWFs will quit for almost any reason. Hell, sometimes they'll quit for no reason and still try to blame the Killer. I once had a full team DC after i downed 1 person as Doc, and we were playing on backwater swamp. I had terrible perks and yellow add ons, no increased shock range, and they all DC'd almost instantly.

People on either side will DC for ANY reason.
Punishments cannot come fast enough :-/

This is some survivor's rulebook stuff right here.

They can’t live without their perks.

I find it funny that all 4 disconnected but basically only the one with Dead Hard was really affected by the addon.
