Huntress hatchets and Third Seal

I thought of trying this build for Huntress: Deerstalker, Knockout, Third Seal, Nurse's Calling with Iri Heads and Infantry Belt. The idea is to literally slug everyone and then hook. TS + KO makes it unlikely downed players will be saved, DS lets you keep track of slugs, and NC is there just to stop heals if/when they occur.

However the whole build hinges on whether hatchets count towards Third Seal. Can any Huntress mains confirm or deny if hatchets proc Third Seal? Thank you.

I dont think it would count. They made it so that perks that activate on hit have to be done with the main weapon not a power. They made franklins not work on chainsaw hit, only on regular hit.  
  
But you only need to hit them once for ts to work, so hit them once per survivor then hatchet your way to victory.
