How would you combat 3 gen demagorg

How strong do you think 3 gen defense is on demagorgen if he just makes a tunnel around the gens. With surge, unnerving presence, overcharge and distressing 3 genning will be almost impossible to go against.

How would you combat tunnels around gens in a 3 gen situation?

Don't 3 gen yourself in the first place is the best thing to do, can't really work out to do exactly intill he comes ptb

    1. If you three gen yourselves it's your fault;
    2. only surge of the four perks you mentioned it could be hard to deal with, all the other are useless;
    3. we can't really tell the demorgogon performances yet, but, depending on how good his ""ambush"" is, he's a worse hag.

agreed, i force 3 gens 100% of the time on said build

A killer can hold out 4 survivors (solos especially) just as well in the start of the match as well as the end, most 3 gen build rely on slugging and with the addition of Surge they'll be able to do it even better.

It also wouldn't be better to take out a 3 gen earlier and waste hook state because even if you manage to do one of those 3 gens, you still have to worry about all the others and the killer might be able to get another 3 gen and then you won't have to those precious hook states.

If a killer really wants to, they can create a 3 gen scenario most games they play.

Hold on now. He doesn't even need to 3 gen if the teleport doesn't have a cooldown.

Just run Fire Up, Mindbreaker, PGTW and Surveillance

Put 2 portals near each of the last 3 gens (doesn't matter which 3) and then repeatedly teleport between them, use Mindbreaker to stop them from Sprint Bursting way to distract you, Fire Up for the increased vault and break speed at the late game (the one situation where the perk is actually good)

Even if all 3 gens are on opposite sides of the map your portals mean you can keep pressure on all 3 anyways.

The teleport will probably have some cooldown on it and the survivors will probably get a warning around the portal location that the killer is coming (Maybe a light from the portal?).

If this would be possible though, it would probably be changed after the PTB.

  • Member Posts: 6,807

We have no reason to believe there is a cooldown currently, and a light wouldn't stop him from doing this, since he can place the portal out of LoS from the gen and use the temporary stealth he gets from teleporting to go for a grab or something.

  • Member Posts: 6,807

Also the counter would be to destroy the portals while you gen rush a specific of the 3 gens as a team. If someone dies early on then doing this would be really hard.

If he has a cooldown then he's going to be really bad tho. I really hope he doesn't.

A cooldown on PLACING the portals would be fine, but teleporting with them shouldn't be too limited.

    Play Deja Vu :-)

You don't need that, you can use OP ability called "eyes". But it helps a lot.

Anyways 3 gen strats don't tend to work THAT well. The strategy I mentioned helps but it's not something you'd rely on.

  • Member Posts: 391

Three survivor on three gens, Two survivors on two gens, one survivor on one gen with two on another, etc. It's pretty easy to beat the 3 gen strategy. especially if you've got to chase a survivor all the way across the map to get the down; which is going to happen every time.

The killer needs to chase for a hook making it impossible to defend all three gens, and get the sacrifice without the gen poping.

    Run Deja vu

A lot of you guys don't seem to understand that every game with the Demo is a 3 Gen strat game.

Lets say 3 portals are his max--he places 1 hole at each Gen at the end and when someone is nearby he can see them with Killer Instinct. All he needs to do is go to a Gen close by and teleport, smack it and chase you down. If he doesn't get the down he leaves and waits until another hole is triggered, as long he stays near a gen he has the 3 Gen strat no matter how far the Gens are spread apart. If he has Surveillance and Killer Instinct doesn't trigger you're still screwed.

If he has a cooldown this limits Demo's power greatly but there should be add-ons and even with add-ons every game will be a 3 Gen game.

being survivor is more and more difficult with every new change they do. They give killers perks/addons/habilities to kill survs easily or avoid survs to do gens. They give survs perks to do anything but their objective: do gens and open doors

    1) Don`t leave 3 gens nearby for the last

    2) Close Portals.

If Democondom chose 3 gens from the start and decided to live there you have only 1 thing to do:

Survivors can finish a gen in 30 second. That's not fast enough for you?

  • Member Posts: 3,298

I have 0 problem with most of the Killers, I'm on PS4 so Nurse isn't a problem, I'm not afraid or intimidated by any Killer so if we finally get a Killer that scares me and makes the game actually hard I'm happy. Being a Survivor is a lot easier than being Killer, unless you just get ######### luck and camped, tunneled and can't find totems, no one saves you, I die more times by ######### team mates than good Killers.

  • Member Posts: 626

And killers can hit a surv in 10 secs. That’s not fast enough for you?

  • Member Posts: 391

That Strategy falls apart when Survivors are destroying portals.

  • Member Posts: 391

What you just said doesn't make any sense at all. Completely unrelated.

  • Member Posts: 3,275

Those tunnels might be fast, but they still have an "enter" animation and travel time.

It also depends if a tunnel can be used while it is being sabotaged

In Identity v the basic killer can swap places with his 2 doll "sentry wards" instantly. I dont really see the teethface with his tunnels being any stronger than that.

If you can't use full hook lives and four Survivors to break up the most obvious tactic possible, I'm sorry for you.

  • Member Posts: 1,379

That's because if all survivors do is just rush generators there's very little the killer can do to stop them. Only something as insanely stupid as Omega Blink Nurse can be stronger then that

If you make it easier to finish generators for weak and average survivors, you completely break high rank gameplay

A shotgun, a machete, and bait.

    If yk, yk.

Super easy, barely an inconvenience. I'd load up a box of Eggo waffles and plant them near the gens. When Eleven shows up, she kills ole DG and I pump out the gens for the gg ez. :)

The same way you combat Demogorgon in the EGC when they have a sphincter at each gate and can use their killer instinct to see when you get close to either one.

You sit in the corner and cry on Reddit.

Hide in a locker and wait for my teammates to die, then go out the hatch.

  • Member Posts: 3,298

We'll see, if they're destroying portals they're not doing Gens. If they are anywhere near the Basement when there are 3 Gens the game ends there.

  • Member Posts: 3,965

Really, the answer is the same for any 3 gen strategy.

A.) Don't put yourself in that position in the first place if possible (solo queue can be difficult though)

B.) Spread out team and work on all 3 gens simultaneously. If the killer goes after a survivor, that survivor's job is to lead the killer in the opposite direction of the generators. Even high mobility killers are limited to being in one physical location at a time.

  • Member Posts: 1,143

Only way a killer can force a 3 gen is by protecting three gens only the entire game and let survs rush the other four, if they did not do this then you three gen yourself

  • Member Posts: 1,143

Only on first hit, the second is going to take at least a minute especially with survs bee lining to the closest pallets

  • Member Posts: 4,142

If it's down to 3 gens in one area, I always kite the killer away from them.

If the killer gives up, Surge does not proc.

If the killer downs me, I won't be within 32m of those three gens.
