One Shot Killers Using NoEd
I know NOED is 100% counter-able by simply doing totems but my gah, these last few days I’ve gone against so many Ghost Faces, Michaels, Leather-faces and Hillbillies all using NOED. Like I don’t get it, ur ability is basically(not exactly like) NOED, but U still bring NOED. I’ve been told NOED is a crutch perk and only bad killers use it etc. so if you have to run it on a killer who can one shot with their ability u probably shouldn’t be playing that character if u have to rely on NOED to get the kills and not actual skill with ur abilities. I’m not salty about them using the perk because everyone has their own play style I’ve just always been so confused as to why their running it. Especially if they are actually good with the killer and they still bring it.

I also LOL when I run into a Billy or Nurse with NOED. It's adorable.

A lot of people run NOED when trying to learn killers. It's a failsafe option when they've lost control of the game due to their inexperience with the killer or just a really stacked survivor team, Similar to why survivors run Decisive Strike
Of course others just run it because survivors hate facing against it, like that Franklin's Demise gamer who runs it even if there's no items in the lobby just to troll
I know I've done that myself

It can be a little frustrating tho, if you’ve run them around the entire game only to suddenly be knocked in one hit. Then they secure the kill cuz everyone else usually escapes.

I understand the learning thing, but I wouldn’t really say it helps them learn. Because if their deciding to tunnel u the entire game while gens are getting done and u just keep running them around, being able to one shot someone at the end because they made a mistake or didn’t have enough time to make the vault etc doesn’t seem like a learning experience it just means they can swing. I think more learning would be, learning how to juggle survivors, and learn that chasing 1 person the whole game isn’t going to benefit u because 3 others escaped or all 4 escaped depending on the situation.

I see that as a psych out, your expecting them to use their ability for the 1 hit down and prepare to maneuver after a cue but instead the use a standard hit without warning.

Yeah it can definitely be frustrating but I try to look like "they needed multiple methods of instadowns to be able to get me" and consider it a compliment.
I've seen killers with Make Your Choice, NOED and Devour Hope. Yikes.

tbf, those are the only ones that will actually get their noed to pop.
the survivors will predict it for the others and then have the totems cleansed by the time the gates power...
just one of the many reasons why i stopped using the perk...

Very true. I’ve gone against leather face/billy with NOED and they pretended to start their chainsaw but canceled and swung instead to one shot

Leather face needs NOED. He's got no map control at all. His chainsaw is easily avoided, unless You're caught out in the open making him a basic M1 killer 90% of the game.
I understand why ghost face would need it to. stealth takes a lot of time, and gens do not. Once the exit gates are powered ghost face can't be sneaking around.
It's no different than a hatch being an end game crutch for bad survivors. But an end game build hilbilly with NOED, Warden, and remember me is a legit strat. It's not just for bad killers.

Its not necessarily a matter of tunneling or what not many use NOED as a security blanket to ensure they can get at least one kill to get a few points by the end of a match
For example learning Nurse and Billy is actually quite difficult especially when it comes to hitting good survivors with the chainsaw. A player might equip NOED to keep themselves in the game when it inevitable goes to endgame. Sure some people use it to compensate for "Poor tunneling gameplay" but I highly doubt everyone that equips it is a tunneler and are likely just trying to compensate for the lost pressure and clunky gameplay they'll be experiencing trying to learn these new killers and their mechanics
Also I would like to say that tunneling and gen rusher are terms that have been so overused at this point to have lost almost any meaning they once had.

Some killers really don’t need NOED. It’s laughable when I see Billy, Myers, and Ghostface with it. You have a one shot in your base kit. Leatherface is different. He sucks. Unless you’re in an open field, he ain’t getting a chainsaw.
Nurse and Spirit having NOED is laughable. Using the two strongest killers in the game and then having NOED on top of it isn’t necessary. I’ve seen so many BAD Spirit’s with NOED.
Huntress and Hag having NOED is also overkill.
Plague having NOED is a little idiotic. Most survivors stay injured all round so NOED is a wasting perk slot.
Trapper, Wraith, Doctor, Leatherface, maybe Freddy, Pig, Clown, and Legion having NOED is to be expected

It's only frustrating if you failed to clear totems.

They aren't complaining. It just doesn't make sense for killers that have a base one shot to use a one shot perk. It also doesn't make sense for some of the strongest killers in game to waste a perk slot which only activates at end game rather than use a perk which improves their gameplay during the mid game.
