How to counter Mindgames as a survivor?

I keep dying really easily when the killer starts mindgaming just a little bit. I have no trouble looping the killer when i can see him and his red stain but otherwise i die. I'm not new to the game btw (2000 hrs) but i'm kind of a killer main and i play less survivor. The hardest for me to counter i would say is the red glow mindgame.

I mean... it sounds really unhelpful, I know, but the short answer is "have a better mind". The thing about mindgames is it goes both ways, it's about trying to outsmart each other. I would say use your experience as a killer main to your advantage - try to predict the killer's movements and account for that. If you suspect they might be moonwalking, try to get to a position where you can run either way. If you can't see them, they can't see you either, so if you've been looping them and they're trying to mindgame you, sometimes you can take advantage of that by breaking line of sight and leaving the loop unexpectedly.

    You already said how

"everytime the killer starts mindgaming" So if you in your mind think the killer is doing THIS because many did before, then just make another decision to counter the mindgame. That's the thing about mindgames. People try to be in the heads of their enemies, predict their movement and their decisions. if you think this guy is moonwalking to the window you wanna jump through, then dont.
