Waiting at the exit gates
This is a question I've tried asking alot of people in game, but they always dismiss it as me being tilted or salty so i can never get a straight answer. Why is it, that once the exit gates are open, and all the living survivors are there do they just wait inside the gates until the very last few seconds to leave.
Now i understand it if someone is not there, or there is someone hooked, or they're injured and healing up, but alot of the time when theyre all there and healthy they just stick around sitting there.
Its especially interesting since typically when the gates open and im not currently in a chase/running noed/blood warden, i usually just admit defeat and tab out of the game, yet all the survivors still wait despite me never showing up
This isn't a veiled attempt at just calling survivors toxic or insult them, but more a question of the mindset, since I'd understand if they where actually doing something other than waiting

So they can show you their dominance at the exit gate. This is partly why end game collapse was created honestly

Because people are cruel. Or they want to give the killers points. Maybe both.

That's what Blood Warden is for

I used to wait there to give the Killer some points. Since I know that not everybody likes that, I am only doing that during Double BP Events or when a BPS is burned.
Other than that, I only wait when not all Survivors are near the Exit Gates to bodyblock.
But well, since it is not that long, when I play Killer, I just do some stuff to get BPs (Chainsawing with Billy, setting Traps as Trapper or whatever).

Here's a few options to combat this:
- Take the few seconds to go over there and push them out.
- Run the plethora of endgame perks that are available to you.
- Play a top tier killer and prevent the endgame in the first place.

You forgot the last option: Hide in the basement in the corner of shame while egc counts down.

How could I forget?🤠

I understand theres lots of tools to combat this, but it was more a question of why survivors do it, not how to counter it. (Plus im an abysmal nurse so if anything playing her would guarantee a 4 man escape lol)

I guess to make sure everyone leaves or BM.

Only to give killers more BPs.

i do it if theres other survivors still in the game, and i have no clue where they are.
or to give killer bp for downing me as i leave
