what happens when the killer dc?

I am a little confused, nowadays when a killer disconnects in the middle of the match, in the scoreboard it appears like I have escaped and I agree with that.

I remember that before, even if in the scoreboard appeared that I have depiped because the killer disconnected from the match, when I started to find another match it appeared that I did not depiped in my real rank lvl that appears in the upper right side of the screen, but nowadays sometimes I get depiped for real because the killer dc, is this because he pulled out his internet cable? or just a bug?

another thing is that If I exit the game and run the game again the rank lvl gets fixed but it only works if I do not play another game after that match and it is pretty annoying hahaha

sorry for my english, and the only question is,

is it caused because killer removed his internet connection or because he leaved the match (pressing esc > leave match)?

    I don't know the full extent of it. You shouldn't de-rank from the killer disconnecting so it very well should be a bug. Same goes for items and add-ons. You aren't suppose to lose them when killers disconnect, you just do.

    Killer dced from my Match today (after 5 Gens were done)

    I got: A Blackpip (Unbroken was Silver in the Post Game, but I wouid have gotten Iridescent, because I did not go down, which would have been a Pip)

    0 BPs

    lost my Offering

    I dont think thats right.

    Was in a game a few days ago against a Trapper.

    The game had lasted for around 15 minutes, all survivors were alive and about to escape. I was just running to the hatch with a key. Before I managed to do that, The Trapper disconnects and I lose all of the 18k points I earned and probably a pip as well.

    Got to say I was pretty pissed when getting bloodpoints is already hard enough.

    It was fixed for awhile on ps4 for awhile. Now you don't get BP again

    Dedicated servers are around the corner though which will fix it.
