gen rush, escape, (de)pip vs bp maximization?
personally i get super confused over why rushing gens & running out of the door with as little altruism and benevolence as possible is as popular as it is..
pair that with not cleansing the sickness, not breaking totems, not grouping up on objectives to counter some perk that helps the killer find out where to go, not being okay to happen upon healthy people that have never been hooked when you're being chased and about to be downed and put on ANY hook, not just last hook, but last hook accidental sandbags also not okay in normal dbd world, not unhooking hooked survivors because of soft/proxy/hard/face camping or whatever means you also have to lack in areas such as objective.
so in a nutshell, it's currently thought of as being good at a game to essentially skip multiple scoring categories by abstaining from a large portion of the game. 99%ing doors until everyone is gathered at the door to leave in an effort to skip the entire endgame event is another thing that i don't understand..
what makes the game more fun when you're trying to pound out a task as fast as possible for very little reward in an effort to escape a game full of BP yet to be gotten while also putting maximum effort on making sure your teammates don't get points either?
is there something i can watch or read or do that will help me understand the benefits of said mastery at Dead by Daylight that seem to be the DbD equivalent of flying over the level in super mario 3 to get to the secret warp spot that takes you straight to the last boss without having to actually play the game..
bonus points if you can make me understand how disconnecting from a game so your teammate can maybe get a hatch is ever anything worth doing..
