Thoughts in this years anniversary "event"
Well it ends this week with the confirmation of the winners of the art/cosplay/video contests
What are your thoughts regarding the event
What happened this year:
-Curtain Call
-Tournament
-Forum raffle
-2x bloodpoints

Honestly? It was alright to "good" at best.
Way too many "register because I hope I win something" people won Auric Cells...
The people in this forum like myself that try to have good discussion and be objective were left out in the cold... nothing. I think the post count from EVERYONE that won raffles was like 50 or something lol.
That's cool. Not everyone joins in the forums right, but some of us do. 2.0.0 patch was delayed 10 full days on PS4 (i play on ps4).
Then the Curtain Call DLC was 2 weeks from XB1, and then the Auric Cells just went live today. So PS4 has had a rough wait. Would of been great to get it when XB1 got it. Oh well.
THe 2x was great, although I was UNABLE to use any of that 2x for the new characters. Sucks. Yeah we get a separate event of 2x later sure, but so do all the people that were telling PS4 users to stick it and shut up too... ironic don't ya think... like 10,000 spoons when all you need if a knife.... etc.
TOurnament was horrible for PS4, as we didn't have the new content... so I didn't care.
If the patch/dlc/cells would of arrived at the end of June or so, and not during one of the busiest American weeks... I'd be very pleased. The new contend and updates are amazing. Sucks we had to wait extra to get it all.
I'm still happy about the game's direction and the state of the game. I love this game, but the event... it was "alright" like I said.

I expected something more interactive.
Devs getting in touch with their player base.
For example KYF with the devs and/or certain streamers.
A more active raffle, where not only silent trash accounts win, but people, which actively answer to (lore) questions.
A real locally hosted tournament that takes several days. With interviews of the teams, merchandising, skilled commentators, etc.
Maybe we can get something like this for the next anniversary.4 -
Curtain Call was good but the shrine took too long. Tournament was a shambles. Raffle? What raffle?? double blood points was awesome.

I love this game and I love the openness of the Development team but I found this kind of saddening for the anniversary event (I am PS4 NA). The coordinators of the tournament dropped the ball in multiple aspects in my opinion, it would have been a lot worse if Giddawid didn't swoop in and save the day commentary wise. The raffle, there isn't much you can say about it as it is for everyone and its a raffle, it wouldn't be fair to make it for regular posters because there are lots of people who read the forums but post nothing. The one thing for me that was disheartening was it was the 1 year anniversary for console on June 20th and we didn't even get a twitter post or anything let alone the DLC content (I understand why, but it is still sad). At this point our PS4 family in PS4 regions Japan and Asia don't even have the DLC. There is always next year though!

The raffle was a cool idea, but everything else was kinda overshadowed by delays for me. I am on ps4, so I spent the entirety of the anniversary waiting for the updates. I did not play double blood points because I was already at cap and I feel bad earning points I can't use. Feels like a waste.
