Why does some people refuse to adapt?
Backstory:
Playing the plague. Rank 3 (played mostly swf this month. Yaay friends! :P)
Sees 2 flashlights and 2 toolboxes so i trade infectious fright with franklins and eguip black incense add on to compensate (sees aura when puking).
Usually when i play i hook and go directly to another target pressuring gens since most matches thats how you win, but this match with my incense addon i see that a certain nea is rushing the hook as soon as i turn around. So i pretend to go away only to down her as she runs out into the open.
Thats when i see the two flashlight people storm me when i go for the pick up. So i puke on them both and chase them away. Go to the pick up again, but now that they are sick i can see they are rushing me and the hook again. So i decide to keep protecting my down and hook until they let me do something else. Since no one is doing gens and they are all at my position.
Of course i get an easy 4K and get blasted by camping comments in end chat and on my profile (i dont mind they are my salt trophies), but what i dont understand is how people can be this ignorant and refuse to adapt. Before this scenario at the end i had been leaving 3-4 hooks and they'd instantly unhook. So i adapted to their playstyle, but in return they just go full on baby tantrum.
Why is it so difficult for some people to adapt during matches. I recently got a few friends into this match. And whenever someone is camped we just do gens to either pressure the killer of the hook or just escape. And we adapt in the trial. I might be a good example for them since i play both roles regularly so they dont act entitled or get unlogically angry when its their fualt for losing. Altough they get annoyed when camped for no reason.
This was just a small rant. Even though i usually love getting some salt in the end, because that means 9/10 you did good (if you dont play like a scumbag). Sometimes i just wish people could own up to their own mistakes and act like adults.

Those survivors sounded like typical 4heads.
Continue salting your fries.

Good job!
I collect "Salt trophies" too. After a year I have gathered 200 of them :-) (I count as one when the same survivor leaves me more than one in a row).
How many do you have?

Too hard.
Why aren't you following the rule book?

Lol karma. It's a game don't stress. They're just whining.

@Karltastisk Welcome to PvP games, where far too many players refuse to adapt and then whine and complain about things. It's here in DbD, in Overwatch, in Paladins, in Apex, in . . . you get the idea.
Plus, though unrelated to your post, also don't forget axiom #2: It's never that player, it's always their potato teammates that are holding them back. They'd be top rank or a pro-player if not for their blasted teammates. 😂

Because to adapt you have to realize that you actually could've played better. It's far more convenient to blame something someone else did and pretend you did nothing wrong 🙂

Because survivors know that if they cry hard enough the devs will give them virtually everything. They've been doing this for more than 3 years now.

It still baffles me at how hard it is for some people to wrap their hands around adapting to the game and learning from their mistakes. I've been lucky enough to play with SWF that pressures gens when someone gets camped and cleanses dull totems instead of bitching about them in chat if the killer manages to wipe us with it.
Sounds like your typical delusional SWFboosted survivor.
I had a game yesterday where this person was literally repairing right next to the hook person. I'm like I have ears you know.
Then they did it again when I put a survivor in the basement I come up and I see the survivor hiding in the corner. I hit them of course but didn't commit to chasing her because BBQ told me one other survivor was either close or in a locker.
Sure enough I turned around the other david was trying to run into the basement.
I told them this in game what they did wrong, they told me to kill myself and hoped my mother was dead, also that I was a trash tunneling camper.
The truth was I only downed the same person twice because they were the only one I found and they predictably ran into a corner to self care. Because I thought everyone was having a good time, I let the third survivor died on the hook and the 4th one escape because he was a shirtless david. I could've easily have been a dick and slug them to get a 4k out of them. But I didn't.
It was some funny ######### reading how mad they got.

Congrats.
Oh. I delete the praises, they don't go well with the rest :-P (I thank the person that praise me and tell them I will delete it)
