What do you think about Demogorgon Mori?
What do you think about the demogorgon mori?
I the only thing I don't understand is why he doesn't decapitation the survivor head, the game has pegi 18 so I don't understand where the problem is..

Demo is not on PTB until tomorrow. How did you see its mori?

Gotta have no decapitation that why. It the same thing with bubba and Billy not splitting the survivors in halves with their mori. Only thing that come close is the hag where she eat the liver

I believe they said adding things like that would get the game censored on some places

I absolutely love it but as some are bringing up, I really hope BHVR lifts there whole "no decapitation" for this mori, it'd just be incomplete with out it.
3 -
but there is a pegi 18..

it should definitely have decapitation, it just seems weird when it spits the head out.
2 -
It looks good, still should have decapitation and spit the head of the survivor out, then 10s despawning.

Countries like Germany want nothing gory at all, whether you're 5 or 75.
0 -
If the model of the body was made as a full textured pattern, no red spots, would it still be considered gory though? Like sure, decapitation in itself is gory, but part of what makes it is the amount of blood splashing throughout the screen.

You'll have to look that up yourself, all I know is that Germany, and Australia, are strict asf.

Tbh I always thought the moris didn’t include actual damage/ dismemberment cause of the low budget development.
Censorship being the problem sounds like a cop out.
1 -
Yeah, germany is pretty bad in that regard.

I think it's awesome! I just wish the Demogorgon actually ripped off their head instead of thrashing it around. :/
2 -
I think i remember devs saying in a dev stream no decapitation because that is a highly sensitive thing in some cultures and religions.
0 -
Well monsters and killers can give two flips about your culture or religion we need decapitation
3 -
too bad that's reverse psychology for BHVR
0 -
What did we do to always end up being the bad guys?
Oh, nvm...
0 -
Exactly!

I believe the problem is China, apparently having the head get removed would violate some rule over there or something like that.

I wish it was a video or gif or something

Demogorgon's mori looks really good. Combined with the sounds it makes, from the roars to it stomping around the map, to the new terror radius sound, it looks and sounds amazing.

Jeez Germany, you have seen worse in your past, whats so bad about a little gore?

The Mori doesn't look the greatest in my opinion, Ghostface's is still the superior Mori above all
The reason why it doesn't straight up decapitate the survivor is because they would need to create a new skeleton that allows itself to detach parts of it
But it may be unfinished and they could surprise us

Except it's not killers playing the game. It's people.

The head could at least be in blood. But I love the overall animation though

I think it looks okay. I knew there wouldn’t be any decapitation as the devs have stated it would be too much work to do something that affects the character model too much. Although I hope there’s at least a little bit of blood textures or something on the face afterwards.
As for the animation itself, it looks a little rough in places, mainly the way the survivor violently flings to ground after being spit out looks a little exaggerated and almost comical. But this is to be expected as animation is definitely not BHVRs strong suit.

Australia, and i believe germany (there are a few other countries as well) would consider it to be "too much"

You can see it there. Minute 5:20 or something (I don't know if posting this is legal at all - Mods please delete if not allowed)

It's bland imo. Some more brutality is missing. I don't know stranger things and the "muscle power" of that creature. But it seems to be very strong and I wish he would break the rips of the survivor on the ground with his hands (pounding on top of the survivor) and THEN "eats" head

Holy hell!

Knowing the models the head removed could just be a knub for all i care

It's kinda bogus as Friday the 13th had a crapton of decapitation and dismemberment and I don't remember that being banned or censored in other countries, at least definitely not Australia. I could be wrong though.
Also the not having the resources to actually pull it off is also bogus as Friday the 13th did it and they had a much smaller and less experienced team. What do I know though?

Sadly it doesn't decapitate them, or even tear up/off their faces. its intimidating but it really loses the horror factor. I've always said this game could use a bit more blood and gore for the mori's because it's M rated, but the devs apparently aren't having any of that. The hag and the clown technically have the goriest mori's in the game with dismemberment and visible organs, sigh, I was really hoping the Demogorgon would be the same. Here's the mori in action:

just for clarification:
the reason why there is no beheading is, because BHVR would have to design a headless body for each individual piece of body clothing survivors have, which would just be a huge amount of unnecessary work, therefore they dont do it.
its the same reason as why the hags mori does not include a ripped open body with organs hanging out.

Cool, but decapitation would've been awesome

Needs more blood on the face. Despite my gore love from my kf2 days, this game can't handle it, technical wise.
8/10

Well by that logic Australia Germany and China are not allowed to play Left 4 Dead, Dying Light, or basically any zombie game ever, they aren't allowed to play Mortal Kombat, Borderlands, Saints Row, Terraria, Diablo, Path of exile..... I could keep going but literally by this logic, Australia Germany and China would be locked out of a majority of games available...ever.....

Left 4 Dead actually changed their game to adhere to Germany's laws on videogames so it could be launched there.
Idk about other games, but it's not uncommon for developers to do that.
In fact, Rainbow Six Siege changed the game for everyone in the world because China disliked some things they saw.
I'm not saying what makes sense or not, i'm just informing y'all.

That makes more sense than goofy made up junk about censorship....
In case no one has noticed yet, our characters don't even have ragdoll physics.
