BHVR... Why do you hate solo survivors so much?
Like, why do we have to suffer with so much lack of informations? I'm not asking for infinite bond basekit. I'm asking for some absolute basics, which aren't changing the game much but give smart and experienced players some informations to work with. For example this picture here (made by me):
Just knowing the perks and items/addons of you random team mates would help so much during the game to make the right decision.
Or having entity legs around ALL survivor indicating who is getting chased. And to separate them from the real obsession, the obsession would have RED entity legs instead of white entity legs.
This is the absolute basic. How can the devs say that they care about solo survivors, that they want to close the gap between solos and swf but haven't even got those things which would take 1 hour at max to implement. No, sorry. I can't believe you BHVR. I can't believe that you care about solos. Since 3 years I have seen a handful minor changes for solos at best. Probably even less, cuz atm I can't call more than having the obsession legs displayed to all in the HUD.

I can already see the complaints of people dodging them in lobbies because they aren't using meta perks or are low rank.

Because this is a example image. The perk set is copied and pasted, it's just to show how it would look if OP's idea was implemented.

I personally don't. I will take the information and will do the best with that. Everyone is free to dodge like killers do anyway. A quick look into steam profile usually shows how experienced someone is and could be a reason to dodge aswell. What's the issue? I don't see an issue.

You say that, except the devs had to remove showing ranks in Survivor lobbies exactly because of that issue.
Why we can see rank again in the PTB now is beyond me.

give survivor more informations about other survivor.
But delete informations about the killer.
Example:
Make your choice - Devour Hope

It got removed because of killer dodging to much.
Also, we all know how broken matchmaking is atm. When I see 3 yellow ranks and I'm a red rank survivor... It's gonna be a smart decision to dodge that because the matchmaking did a mistake, obviously.

Okay so theres this cool feature called the chat box you can use this to communicate with the other players for more then just knowing what perks they're running.... atm I'm guessing you're on PC

Noone writes his perk build, not everyone knows the perk names in English, not everyone is chilling in but instead is chilling on youtube till they loaded into the match. Alright?

We need both of your suggestions in this game so bad. There is no reason not to, since swf survivors already have this information, so why shouldn't solo survivors have this information as well? Just makes their life a bit easier, which is only fair.
One other advantage of swf survivors which solo survivors need big time is knowing whenever a killer is camping or not. It makes such a difference for swf survivors to have this information, and it's not fair that solo survivors are left out of this as well.

To avoid avoiders.
For example, i really like equipping No Mither when the usual build just feels too plain at the moment.
But there's been quite a few disconnects once they see the HUD.
Or well, i can't confirm they DC'd specifically for that, but the frequency sure raises after equipping it.
Point is: Showing it in the lobby will encourage more waiting times for certain equipment.
Anyway, this is not me saying no to the idea.
But give us an option to toggle it or smthn.

I mean at that point. This way you don't end up playing with people that will DC cuz you have the perk, since they would instead lobby dodge without wasting your offerings or even forcing you to reque.

Well the problem is survivors aren’t communicating while in lobby too.
I usually say “I’m bringing BT, Deliverance..”
Or if I have a key... what type it is.
This would solve the issue of not having enough seconds to chat among ourselves about what we are bringing to the match.

Well, I see where you coming from. But when you have a toggle option (and you toggle it off for no mither) you would have people who DC after they loaded into the match. And I would rather wait a few seconds more in the lobby screen because of people dodging instead having a 3v1 with 5 gens. You know what I mean?

Oh no, don't get it wrong. Killer will NOT see the perks. It's exclusively for solo survivors.. The Killer will not see anything I edited into the picture.

Yes by all means lets strengthen the survivors even more after all the power role right? This game is completely balanced to give all the power to survivors as is, they keep it up there will be nobody wanted to play killer. So tired of the entitled survivors. Killers are supposed to be the power role!!

The devs are still stubbornly holding onto their first vision of dbd. But the fact is, if swf stays they need to buff solos by giving them free information like abilities and rework information perks.
Survivors should have automatic bond/empathy and kindred. Give survivors the number of totems crushed. Give survivors a way to hide their auras from trolling team mates. Buff killers accordingly and bam, the gap between swf and solo is so small it shouldn't matter who you are playing with anymore.
A very simple solution being avoided bc immersion? Who feels immersed in dbd anymore? Game is just a brightly lit race against eachother now. If they want a more immersed dbd maybe they need to just make another game mode that's darker and slower paced. Hey one can dream.

Except matchmaking isnt a set in stone system, or tied to any competetive nature. It's literally to ATTEMPT to get the BEST POSSIBLE matches at the time. Dodging only causes more issues for other people, and makes you wait longer for a game. That may be worse than the "bad matchmaking" one.
To get perfect rank matches, a large group of people would have to end up waiting 10 15 mins EVERY game at the minimum. Which isnt acceptable.
Nobody should dodge. Period. You hit join lobby for a game. May be easy, may be hard. It is what it is. Play it and move on. Cherry picking lobbies and DCing over stupid ######### is childish and selfish. It also says you're afraid of a potential challenge, but hey, some people need easy mode or they wont play.

Please, think before talking. The strongest thing in dbd is 4 men swf group with voice coms and meta perks. But they will already know what perks everyone is using due to pre made team and just simply communication. This, will NOT buff the strongest thing possible survivors can have. It ONLY buffs solos. Swf groups won't gain anything from that. They will not be stronger. So I don't understand why you complain about that

This information is only gonna help soloq and small SWF groups (like groups of 2) in that context, the game is actually perfectly balanced. Since soloq is pretty much a free 4k anyways.
You say killers are supposed to be the power role but to what extent? Is a rank 20 killer supposed to win against a rank 1 Survivior no matter what? Is a survivor supposed to be heavily disadvantaged and forced to outplay the killer multiple times over and pray to god their team actually does something.
You sound more entitled than any Survivior main.

That would be really sad if that turned out to become a serious problem. Who the hell would leave a lobby just because other survivors aren't using meta perks? I at least like to believe that there aren't that many immature idiots in the community.

I doubt many will do that. Most people would just accept that you don't have meta perks. Unless you are a Blendette with a stealth build, I don't see many dodging you.

Their is already a dc epidemic of people just leaving mid match because they got found first, people suiciding on hook, people verbaly assaulting each other in the end game chat.
I got harrased because I didn't kill myself to save someone, for using no mithers and for playing sneaky

Even when some survivor dodge the lobby (might not even be because of your chosen perks but more because of ping), whats the big deal? It would take just a few more second to fill the lobby again. I would gladly sacrifice some more seconds in the lobby for seeing all my team mates loadout and play more optimal in during the match

Now wait just a freaking second here pal..you do realize that weaker killers are being kept from much needed fixes to combat swf strictly because of solos?? In fact..so many perks, powers, and changes are going withheld for that very reason..they've made buffing solos their #1 goal..to buff solos to swf power..then killers have to bite the bullet until they finally get powered up to match it..and you claim they're AGAINST you? What rock are you living under dude?

I don't think buffing solo survivors to match SWF is what should happen. SWF power levels are much higher.
I think SWF should be nerfed, if anything. Solo survivor is the true experience the devs wanted and ended up caving in to add SWF when people threw their arms up because they couldn't play with their friends.

U can't nerf swf. Voice coms is the strongest tool survivors can have. Watch how Marth88 and his mates were destroying killers with 0 perks and just voice calls.
What else? You want to buff killers to combat swf and let solos left behind to suffer even more? Good luck finding survivors joining you lobby, we already have very long killer lobby Qs.
Also, if you think those buffs in my post would insanely buff solos to swf level you need to activate your brain. That's not gonna make solos op. It's just going to make it less frustating and a little bit more coordinated.

The perks being shown in the lobby should be added.
But the entity legs during chase should not. It shouldnt even be there for the obsession.
