Prestige
I don't get it. I've been playing this game for at least 2 years and got most of my killers and survivors to 50 but...why would I prestige ?
From what I understood it only unlock ugly clothes and cosmetics.
Am I wrong ?

Blood looks cool on some killers for example Bubba. But it’s really only for that and for a slight minuscule chance of rarer items showing up in blood web. But it’s such a small chance it’s not even noticeable.

I prestige plague to 3 because I thought she looked cool. I’ve probably played a total max games of 10 with her since her release lol
and let’s not forget bloody Myers mask is nice. Not like ghostfaces blood, it’s so small you can’t even tell it’s there.

It's only worth it if you're interested in the achievements/trophies imo. The grind in DBD is unbearable at times.. No need to increase it even more with prestige characters then losing everything.

Only prestige the ones you want to. I’m in the process of getting all the perks on survivors/killers I’ve gotten to P3 LV 50. It’s not a fun grind. You should just cap most of the characters at Level 50. Like...I’ll never prestige Clown, I can’t stand Clown. Why would I prestige him?
Unless it is a licensed killer/survivor and that’s the only cosmetic they’ll get like Laurie/Myers.

I prestige characters that I like playing because I plan to play this game for a long time, and putting extra points into getting perks past 50 without being p3 feels like a waste to me, since if I do want to prestige them, those points wouldn't have mattered.

You still get new perks by doing the lvl 50 bloodweb over and over again.

I like Myers' prestige clothes and Bubba, want to prestige Hag for her outfits, don't like her cosmetics and get a bloody face mask for Ghostface, see what it's like instead of the demon mask.

I don’t prestige but only because I can’t settle on a “main killer.” If anything I would prestige Meg but her store outfits are better to me

Pretty much do it if you want the bloody cosmetic look. I did it on Myers because I love his P3 look, and because he is my killer main.
Did it on Dwight because he is my survivor main. And on Jake to get the achievements.

Like Weck said - if some day I wanted to prestige those characters, all the bloodpoints past 50 would essentially go to waste. The only guaranteed way to not waste them is to prestige right at 50 all the way to P3, and then get all perks once I'm there.

I prestigeded 3 trapper, leather face, freeddy, huntress, hilbilly, hag, pig, and nurse to get better items in the bloodweb, and because I enjoy the grind. Clown, plague, legion, and myers are next.
What Devotion should do is the real question.

Truth be told there really is very little incentive to prestige unless you really want bloody cosmetics or the minuscule difference in bloodweb rarity. For me personally i only prestige so that i feel like i am continually progressing my characters. Gives me a long term goal so to speak. Still it is alot of grinding and if i could do it over again on a fresh account i would not even bother with it.
